He got the kit to sound good by proper tuning and the mic picks up perfectly and the room he is in has to have really good acoustics as well...acoustics alone can change the way a drum set sounds...

@jhairssstooo You may need a few gates, one for base, snare, tom mics, and the highs. Then gate each mic to certain dbs so it only pics up those frequencies. I do not know how he has the freqs set though. You'd have to play around with it.
