How to take, send, and upload a picture on HTC Thunderbolt

why when I take a picture the flash makes the picture too bright? I just bought the phone yesterday and with the camcorder can you have the light on when it's dark?

Thank you! I couldn't figure out how to send the photos, because I was trying to do it from the camera app (like I was able to do with my Eris).
