  • Hi, excuse me Mr bill T. Jones, FELA d african legend was not shipped 2 an island. He was a born legend, from Nigeria,so be sure of was u say bcos we know d late legend saw this present future b/4 this time. Please don't bring my country and my only legend down thank u. But d show must go on "a**hole".

  • @icent100

Did you listen to everything that he said? He wasn't being disrespectful to Fela. He didn't mean Fela was literally shipped to an island.

  • THIS SHOW IS AMAZING!!!! I saw it twice and I still would pay again to go back for more. A MUST see for all of us to know and bridge the diaspora. We are all one people...remember that. Very accurate in terms of culture, spirituality, and symbolization. Much respect to all involved...this is what we need on broadway....our roots.

  • thanks for bringing him back. our government killed him. Fela was our vioce.

  • I WILL NOT ALWE THEM TO STILL FELA KUTI ANIKOLAPO THE USA STILL EVRE THING BOUT NOT FELA YOUR PROFORMANCE IS SHEIT YOU ARE ALL ITT

  • @spsdogg1 stfu

  • its a shame that jay-z, will smith can see the vision fela had and recreate that on broadway before we can think about it...did they even pay any royalties to fela's estate? does fela even have an estate?

im just happy they did a phenomenal work in portraying fela for what he was but when we go learn something? dem don chop our oil finish, now dem wan chop our entertainment. such an irony this is exactly what fela talked about. nna na wah oh.

btw check out "fufu anthem" from tamarakoro

  • -looks interesting i hope they got some nigerian input on this but i tlooks good ashame i cant see it i'm in ldn

  • @seun0203 I know what you mean!!!

  • I saw it a few weeks ago on Broadway! I had no idea who is was but absolutely amazing! The best!

  • I want to see this so badly, and Nigeria should be covering this. Even Fela would be impressed.

  • Did you find the song titile, because I would like to know the name of it as well. its amazing.

  • His body of work is phenomenal in its quality and productivity. if you check my channel there is one near the bottom of my favourites called BONN or Beasts of no nation. You will notice the progression from this one as it is when he introduced a second bass guitar and the big Konga drum. His children Femi And Seun both tour extensively you can check them out on myspace .

  • whats the song in the begining

  • Sounds like the intro to "Teacher dont teach me nonsense " if i am not mistaken.
