  • @matiseq Every fighting game EXCEPT Mortal Kombat

  • It makes sense that Gouken prevails and trains Ryu once again. Otherwise I doubt Ryu would have learned the Denjin.

  • Comment removed

  • Name one fighter that's totally different from SF: Super Smash Brothers. The End.

  • Addicted2gaming he means that Vitua Fighters was the first 3d fighting game made.

  • son putos

  • GOTY

  • you're stupid

  • i dont understand the ending can anyone help me?

  • soo.. what happens to ryu?

  • he is dead .......

  • he got no dark hado anyomore :)

  • When you beat the game with either Gouki or Akuma that ending shows , Gouki seals away Ryu's dark power and Akuma does the Raging Demon towards Gouki. It has no effect so Akuma proposes that they fight to the death, winner claiming the "cub" ( reffering to Ryu").

  • ok.............

  • that means his "dark power" or the body?

  • Dark Power, remember in the earlier Street Fighters its always said that the there will be two students of Shotokan Karate one will eventually turn to the dark side, as seen in S.F. Alpha where they introduced Evil Ryu.

  • yeah vish is right, cept for Gouki is just what Akuma is named in japan. Gouken shrugs off the raging demon , through the power of nothingness. you're soul can not be "instant hell murderered" if you have no soul to murder. Gen also used it in the storyline.

  • But Gouki IS Akuma... Maybe you meant Gouken?

  • @vishalmaraj09 Coll, although I think you mean Gouken, since Gouki is Akuma XD

  • @vishalmaraj09

gouki and akuma are the same people

  • wow what was that from? the arcade? I'm pretty sure console and for sure pc have actual moving pictures lol :P

  • they all in frikin japanese?

  • There is no US version of the Arcade Street Fighter IV.

  • Yes there is. It's just extremely rare.

  • makes no sense , i heard the guy go one of this two will walk out a winner, and the menu is in english

  • Ofc O_o what else...

  • gouken is still alive; he is not dead really ..

  • is gouken still alive?

  • No, this is where he gets killed.

  • No, Gouken was thought to have been killed within the time period of either SF Alpha or SFII. this game, chronologically takes place after both of them and before SFIII. Gouken was in a coma from one of his previous fights with Akuma. His role in this game details his awakening and search for Ryu to seal the Dark Hadou in him.

  • people mean the first Best fighting game :D

  • Street Fighter was the first fighting game ever made?

wow people here can be really stupid

  • Maybe the first one to truly kick off beyond arcades...but then there's Art Of Fighting.

  • just to say that that mark on akuma/gouki's back it means heaven or sky, but when he turns to shin akuma/shin gouki, the sign means god, and the sign on evil ryus back, it means destruction, just sayin

  • the mark on akuma/gouki back means 'universe' to be exact.

  • It stands for 10 or Heaven or perfect.

  • @theotherhalfoftheang Oh! I thought it translated to "Demon"

  • tekken is a fuking broken fighter

  • can sum1 list down all the names of the street fighter animated movies that have ever been made?

  • Because Sonic if you knew anything about history

Street Fighter was the pinnacle fighting game which did spawn virtually every fighting game, including tekken because tekken is an offshoot of virtua fighter which was one of the first 3d fighters..

So every fighting game owes some homage to SF

  • Street Fighter was the very first fighting game, period.

  • Except for being predated by Karate Champ, The Way of the Exploding Fist and Yie Ar Kung-Fu, sure.

  • Sorry, guess I should have made it a bit more clear somehow. Street Fighter II was the first "real" fighting game, in that it was the first to have more than one playable character.(In Street fighter I, only Ryu and Ken were playable, and both of them played exactly the same)

  • maybe the 1rst you've played. but if you want to discover the 1rst fighting game. check back for the atari console ;). or even older consoles. bye

  • It's still the first "modern" fighting game. Before that, fighting games were more along the lines of beat-em-ups, which have always been common since the 70s. :\

  • @Uzuhl

no one owes street fighter anything.

  • @TENNSUMITSUMA that really the best trolling you can come up with?

  • @Uzuhl

adhoms (look it up) wont help you here

  • @TENNSUMITSUMA ad hominem or not your trolling needs work obvious troll is obvious.

  • @Uzuhl

evidently not obvious, and since im not a troll, guess it should need work.

  • @Uzuhl Not really, The first game to feature fist fighting was Heavyweight Champ in 1976, but it was Karate Champ and The Way of the Exploding Fist which popularized one-on-one martial arts games in 1984 and 1985 respectively. Also in 1985, Yie Ar Kung Fu featured antagonists with differing fighting styles, while 1987's Street Fighter introduced hidden special attacks. Give credit where credit is due, SF is great and paved the way because of popularity and just a bit more content, not origin.

  • @Shadowlooker12

I still accept the origin of Street Fighter and I touch the 1987 debut game from time to time still.

  • @SeventhSun Really and what is the origin of it?

Are you going to neglect the fact that there are even older games that came out with the fighting engine before street fighter?

  • @Uzuhl You amde it sound as if Sf was the bases of all that is fighting games, where did you think SF got their idea, off another game before it, it just added it's own twist, and was popularized. If another game has come out and overshadowed it, we'd be talking about that game instead today. It all depends on what sells and what the people want. Fighting games should pay a little homage to SF, but not as the grand all be all of martial arts fighting game genre, because it's not.

  • @Uzuhl And also, if SF wasn't the 1st fighting martial arts game, and is similar to the first ones or one, it is indeed a spawn of the game or games before it. It just happened overtime to come into it's own game, and over shadowed a lot of competition such as Mortal kombat, Killer instinct, King of Fighters and so on. Even if they took a spin off SF they had the potential to become their own games like SF did, and they did do that, but SF was still #1 to many for it's longevity.

  • @Shadowlooker12 I've never claimed street fighter was the first fighting game...I did claim that SF did popularize the fighting game genre and every fighting game after 1991 owes some homage to SF. That's pretty much it.

  • @Uzuhl You're such an idiotic fanboy.

Why don't you give some acknowledgement to that old piece of shit game called kung fu master WHICH came out in December 1984 that could've directly SPAWNED the idea for street fighter or how about yie ar kungfu which came out a year later.

Why not pay any mind to that? OH RIGHT, because you're a fanboy that blathers about street fighter while he strokes his cock to it while completely neglecting other games THAT SPAWNED even street fighter.

  • nah smash bros aint the ame at all

  • you know what had good endings and was Capcom made?.....RIval Schools aka Project Justice.

  • All of the opening and ending's in street fighter 4 were garbage. It explained nothing.

  • imo all of the endings of the SF games suck.

    especially the EX series :p

it's all about the gameplay i guess.

but adding awesome endings wouldnt hurt -_-

  • ........what he say?

  • Um its a casuall game as well. There are people that arent very good whu cant put up a good fight agaisnt por's. And dont buy soul calibur ppl. Lol

  • yea soul calibur its over rated and to easy a bit boring as well

  • Yeah for real. At least with this its a diffrent match every time even if its against the same person.

  • agreed. At least people who have played street fighter 4 and understand the moves of old time characters and that are your friends would it work. Definatly cant play this with your friends without owning them

  • I think he ment Ryu's father

  • I like this ending more. Just has that feel to it that animation and movement lose to .-. Just my opinion tho ;p

  • 1.) There is no dark hadou.

2.) Ansatsuken is an assassination art which Gouken, Gouki and Gen all practice.

3.) The style taught to Ken and Ryu is a non-lethal version. This is what separates Gouki from Ken, Ryu and Gouken.

4.) Gouken "lost" the fight to Gouki but his death was never, EVER officially stated by Capcom at any point in Street Fighter's history.

5.) Shin Gouki is merely Gouki not holding back his power. There is no story difference between the two characters. The End.

  • @KindredEmotions what do you mean there is no dark hadou?

  • @KindredEmotions You are correct about everything but and idk if this is official with capcom or not but in the alpha series manga after the first street fighter tournament Ryu and Ken come back to find Gouken dead and Ken goes off to fight Gouki but thats just what I saw again idk if thats officially what happened or not

  • @KindredEmotions street fighter alpha and alpha generations all ryu talks about is the dark hadou and he visits goukens grave/ memorial site. have you seen the movies?

  • @KindredEmotions No your wrong Gen did not use Ansatsuken. Only Gouken, Gouki and Goutetsu.

  • @KindredEmotions

what the hell are you talki about, it says it in the alhpa movies every two seconds that there is dark hadou

  • @TENNSUMITSUMA The alpha movies also claim Gouken died but now we know that not to be the case.

  • @KindredEmotions

how about the fact that capcom claimed it, and then there is the jap translations. check wikipedia if you dont believe me

  • Some people got it right gouki is Akuma and Akuma means Demon but the white haired guy Gouken is Akuma's Brother and Ryu's and Kens Master for those that do not know

  • because we can read japanese

  • what the fuck cant read these signs -.-

  • whos gouki??...

  • DOOD! GOUKI! Also known as Akuma. Great villain of Street fighter, master of the dark hadou. Look it up on wikipedia.

  • What so the old guy is also known as akuma??.....i thout Akuma was hes student or suthing like that??

  • he is akuma turned on gouki i belive

  • gouki IS akuma (akuma just means demon, which gouki either is or has allied with). the guy with the white hair is his rival, gouken, also ryu and ken's master. gouki decided to perfect his arts alone whereas gouken decided to transform the art into a less lethal form and train it to two students.

i wonder if gouken will be called 'sheng long' (immortal dragon -also the name quoted by ryu) in the english version :D

wanna know something more wild? i heard that gouki is actually ryu's father :p

  • "gouki decided to perfect his arts alone whereas gouken decided to transform the art into a less lethal form and train it to two students."

Actually, Gouki decided the path of the dark Hadou and Gouken was though for dead after a fight long ago with Gouki. Anyway... were did u get that Gouki is Ken's father? That would be ludicrous

  • ok thanks for clearing that up for me

  • ryu might be his son?! wow i didnt know that >_>

  • star wars.. lol

  • akuma and gouki is one person.. the names are just different in the english and japan ver.

  • I always though Akuma was he's Nickname >.> I mean who in theire Right Mind would name there son Akuma(Demon) 0_0

  • Gouki means dark spirit in Japanese also...

  • Actually Akuma is demon/devil in Japanese. Gouki can be seperated into Gou, or STRONG, and Ki, which is energy/spirit. So Akuma=Demon and Gouki=Strong Spirit. Hence the name "Master of the Fist!" HE IS POWER MADE INTO FLESH! XD

  • I know Japanese and have Japanese friends. Im pretty sure Im right.

  • KO! Perfect!

  • You're wrong B

  • No! Nothing! That doesn't mean anything, thats completely false and ignorant.

  • dude STFU!!!!!! what do you know about Street fighter?!

  • the street fighter story canon is completely poor and Capcom needs to own up to it.

Too many loose and contradicting story lines to make any sense and credibilty.

    Awesome game though

  • i agree the story is defiantly sf's weak point but meh im content. the action is what i buy the game for

  • You're buying the wrong game if you want a good story.

  • yeah true. But it would be nice if they could clean it up.

  • for people who dont know Street Fighter 4takes place 1 year after the 2nd street fighter..Street Fighter Timeline:Street Fighter 1,Street Fighter Alpha Series,Street Fighter 2,Street Fighter 4,Street Fighter 3 Fight For The Future

  • how does street fighter 3 take place after 4? Sorry, just curious

  • Street Fighter 4 is a sequel to 2, but a prequel to 3. Simple as that.

  • SF1 took place before alpha??

  • No, Alpha was first.

  • Street fighter 1 took place before Alpha.

Sagat didnt even have his scar yet in the first street fighter. Thats WHEN he got the scar.

  • guys, gouken is dead, if he wasnt, then he woulda been on sf3(maybe capcom will remake sf3 with him on it?)

  • This scene's more badass animated.

  • this is suposse to be before the alpha series? cause i dont understund why gouken is alive didnt akuma kill him

  • He (meaning Gonken) was SUPPOSEDLY killed by Akuma, yes Ken saw Akuma beat him and hit him with the aging Demon but he never confirmed it.

  • this is between 2 and 3

  • hmmm, apparently gouken is supposed to be more badass than gouki himself. this will be very interesting.

    copied from a fan site:

His fighting style and appearance in Street Fighter IV is beyond badass... I think Akuma may have possibly, finally met his match.

  • i think Gouken will actually be killed by Akuma in this games storyline, Gouken is alledgedly back to seal Ryu's dark hadou for good.

  • Fighters Generation, right? Yeah I saw that too. I was a bit confused as to why Gouken is around. I thought to unleash the pure assassination style you needed to draw blood on one close to you. Weird man...

  • u deff got that from fighters generation lmaooo

  • Fightersgen f'ing RUUUUULES!!!!_^)

  • ..wtf

  • I lol'd

  • This is not the home version ending

  • Is this home version ending? I thought there would be more movement since they made a big deal about fully animated endings for each character....

  • Will there be Shin Gouki too?

  • imho the gouki we get in this game IS shin gouki; he has the double air fireball, he no longer takes damage like a pussy and his fully charged ultra (admittedly hard to land) does RIDICULOUS amounts of damage.

  • @ First thx 4 answering, 2nd I rly donnu why I got so many thumbs down @ third Shin Gouki has white Hair and another symbol on his back, I know what ur talking 'bout but SHIN Gouki is still different, thats why Im askin'.

  • Gouken is gona beat the shit out of Gouki.

  • The music that plays is like a remixed.. medley version of his Alpha 2 stage.

  • because it is

  • SSF2T Akuma theme to be more accurate.

  • STILL needs translation -_____-

  • Gouki: I sense his power has awakened

Gouki: You sealed his power? You fool.

Gouken: Gouki, I see you still do not understand.

    Gouki: Enough talk! Raging Demon!

Gouki: You possess the power of nothingness? Interesting.

Gouki: Let this be a fight to the death. The winner takes the cub.

  • A Close translation but not quite accurate.

Gouki: Finally! His power has awakened!

    Gouki: What is this!?

Gouken: You still haven't changed Gouki.

    ---

The rest of the translation is spot on. Nice to see someone translating the endings :)

  • :)

    I try my best.

    I'm working on Chun-Li's ending and Vega/M.Bison's ending. :(

  • Some kind soul had uploaded english versions of a hand full of the endings (I have no idea how he managed it), but I can't seem to find them now :( (one of those situations where you say I'll bookmark it later...and later never comes). But it's worth scouting around for them as they actually tell a consistent story (for a change). Spoliers in next post...

  • Looking around on YouTube-----

I have yet to find any. :(

Perhaps, YouTube deleted(AGAIN)the English versions to prevent copyright b.s. D:
