  • I agree that America looks as if it is going to war and is morally bankrupt. However, it takes a certain degree of 'interpretation' to conclude that Ezekiel was talking about entities that didn't exist 2,500 years ago. A long bow to draw, to say the least!

  • @Seemorerocks97 Well, "Magog" is a sure match. It's the term used in Amos 7:1 in the Septuagent for Russia. And which "irreverent distant coastland" would they exchange missles with? The whole thing occurs right after Israel's second return to the land. It's the USA. We have a special obligation to God because of our history. We are the ones mentioned in Ezekiel, I believe it will be moments after the rapture, just like Lot escaping Sodom. Of course I could be wrong, but then what else is it?

  • The bible does not say the Jews would return to Israel in 1948. It simply said that Israel would return. It did not say when.

It does not say Turkey would turn away from NATO. Western powers aren't even mentioned in the Bible.

  • @DefconWarningSystem The prophecy that specifies the date is in Ezekiel 4 quite hidden in the text. Grant Jeffery discovered it. It works out to the exact day in May 1948 when Israel was founded. Turkey is mentioned as an ally of Russia/Iran in the Magog invasion. Do you really think they will continue to remain in NATO? Russia has already formally asked Turkey to resign. Ezekiel 39:6 is a reference to the United States. "The Young Lions" in Ez. 38:13 are a reference to the British commonwealth.

  • @alyosha24601 Grant Jeffery's calculations require a great deal of assumption that is not found in the Bible, not the least of which is the Year Zero, which would throw off his calculations.

Ezekiel 39:6 does not refer to the US. It simply says a fire will be sent on Magog. Who says the US has to be the one to do that?

Lastly, Ez 38:13 mentions young lions, but there is no reason to think that it means the UK. That phrase appears 12 times in the OT and simply means aggressive adversaries.

  • @DefconWarningSystem Both calculations, the founding of Israel and the seizure of Jerusalem, work out to the exact day. You be the one to call that coincidence, I can't. Ezekiel 39:6: "And I will send fire upon Magog and those who inhabit the coastlands in safety; and they will know that I am the LORD." The Hebrew word refers to a distant island or continent. Why wasn't Tarshish used? Because the USA is further. And who else do the Russians train to attack every year? A nuclear exchange is near.

  • @alyosha24601 I never said the calculations were coincidence. I said they were based on assumptions, which render the calculations invalid.

Nothing in Ez 39:6 states where the fire will come from, other than God. Certainly God can use people or nations to do his will. But nothing in the passage makes even an attempt to identify who may be an accomplice in this, certainly not the USA. I'm not saying the USA won't be it. I am saying there is no Biblical basis to say so.

  • @DefconWarningSystem As for Ez. 38:12; this passage is not talking about animals but rather nations. Tarshish is even mentioned specifically. The English speaking world is the best interpretation. I understand, you don't want to see it, but it's there. It's just as well. America isn't what it used to be; unfortunately, we have become enemies of God.

  • @alyosha24601 I never said Ez 38:12 was about animals. Clearly it is in reference to nations/kingdoms/adversaries. But to equate the UK with this particular use of "young lions" is without justification. In fact, your argument would be stronger if you said the passage was talking about Iran, as the lion has been associated with Persian kings for quite some time.

In the end, you have to read the passage was it was intended for the reader, not as what we hope it will say.

  • @alyosha24601 Oh, and please don't read any of that as an attack or condescending or anything like that. YouTube provides so little comment space that you have to kind of "get to the point" quickly or you run out of space.

  • @DefconWarningSystem Yes, on my channel, 95% of all comments are attacks, so I'm afraid that's the default setting with me? I also believe that the Lot narrative (exiting Sodom) is a type of the rapture of the church - just before the Ez. 39:6 event. Could be wrong of course, but everything else in Genesis foreshadows something!

  • @DefconWarningSystem There is more in the Bible than it seems. You have to dig for it, and it takes years. What I've mentioned is not all, either.

  • @alyosha24601 God it not the author of confusion. If only one person "finds" something in the Bible, that usually means it wasn't there in the first place.

  • @DefconWarningSystem I've sen it myself. The math is extraordinary. Glad to hear it's just a coincidence though.
