why is that? I'm not so sure about it. I mean, the gear would have been smashed but its such a small part compared to the whole plane, i really don't see how it could have an impact on the aircraft no?
The gears of passenger airliners are actually pretty massive and if the main gear was down it would have dug suddenly into the water causing the aircraft to violently pitch nose down . Also the gear could have been ripped as a result.

Good landing but the bump made the effect diffrent I have FSX but I can kinda land good with a Boeing 787 dreamliner
