you know you can just click the "linked selection button" and click the audio you dont want and delete it without deleting the video as well. I'm pretty sure that is mainly what the button is used for.
You've helped me a lot and your tutorials are great. You don't start going "And uhh...you pull it there and urm trim it" and that's what's really good. Not sure how to thank you.
I don't know if you can help me with this, but I have a bit of a problem. I've made a "Two colour ray" and set one to red and the other black, so I can screen it and have only the red. It works, but when I render it the black comes back. Any way to fix that? I don't mind it with the black, but I'd rather have just the red.
Hey, somehow i turned off the "snap to" thing where the clips will snap to the end of others or the the blade tool will snap to the "cursor" how do i turn that back on?
I'm new to video making and your lessons are invaluable. You probably will never fully realize how useful you have been to others. May your future be filled with good luck.
or if you want to remove the audio w/o the video just go to the button next to the mouse tool on the second left looks like a diagonal eight this will do it too
by the way all u guys whot want an even quicker way to remove audio just press on the keyboard alt or option whatever name you prefer and click audio or video it will select either one without the other
also on my channel pretty soon there will be an iPod ad made with final cut express so plz watch and I will sub u
you know to take the audio off, you can just hold down Alt and click on the audio? It will just highlight the audio track so you can do anything you want with it.
This is off topic but I couldn't find a video about it... How do you change the duration of multiple clips at once? I do slideshows mostly and it's a pain to go through and change the picture durations one by one. Is there anything to help?
Highlight all the clips and then press "Command+J" and perform the speed change. I have a tutorial on speeding up and reversing clips so you may want to check that out.
thanks so much for these tutorials, thanks! btw...can you do a video explaining what it is you press and un-press to do certain things. for example...if you're going to press command-B, to do something, what do you press next to not be in the same function? that always confuses me on a mac.
But it actually takes five seconds to render it. Also what if you realize you want the audio back when you are editing something? You will have to go back and get the original clip and do whatever you did to it all over again. Well anyways it doesn't matter. I subscribed.
thanks man the helped me a lot and also your video on using split screen that was helpful as well keep posting videos im looking foward to learning new things
i want a good movie software and I was not sure what to get. I saw Final cut pro online and came 2 youtube to get tips. Your video makes me want to really buy this thing. Great JOB!! Just one question. Will this software work well with a PC? or should I trust a mac better
Sorry I typed out my response to you about a month ago, but for some reason YouTube did not add it. I should have checked up on it, my bad. Anyway, glad you got a mac and Final Cut...it will serve you VERY well
Hey - good job on the vid. Here's a little tip - a quicker way to select just the audio tracks to delete them is to just hold OPTION when you select it with the selection tool. That way you don't have to lock a track first, then delete, then unlock, or click the linked selection button.
Yeah thanks I should have included that method as well in the video. I just learned it first off using locks and so thats just what came to my mind first. Thanks
THANK YOU
