  • THANK YOU

  • you know you can just click the "linked selection button" and click the audio you dont want and delete it without deleting the video as well. I'm pretty sure that is mainly what the button is used for.

  • @AfroNinja1243

    you're an idiot.

  • You ROCK dude.

    Lawrence, Kansas

  • I am having a problem how did you drag the still frame. I tried and it only moves it in that window it doesn't drop to my timeline. Thank you

  • You've helped me a lot and your tutorials are great. You don't start going "And uhh...you pull it there and urm trim it" and that's what's really good. Not sure how to thank you.

Where did you learn these simple but good tricks?

  • @moviesunrated i just played around with the software alot and taught myself most of it

  • @pjnproductions Well you're rather good at it.

I don't know if you can help me with this, but I have a bit of a problem. I've made a "Two colour ray" and set one to red and the other black, so I can screen it and have only the red. It works, but when I render it the black comes back. Any way to fix that? I don't mind it with the black, but I'd rather have just the red.

  • Thanks =)

  • thanks man great video

  • Hey, somehow i turned off the "snap to" thing where the clips will snap to the end of others or the the blade tool will snap to the "cursor" how do i turn that back on?

  • @DynaDuctINC Press N

  • cheers. Thanks for the explanations.

  • @hewlettwrestling add an image overtop your video

  • Thak you so much, you have no idea how much help you've been. I making a last minute video for family and you saved me! Thanks a million

  • really clearly explained! thanks

  • THANK YOU.

  • er screen recorder*

  • @DemiiBaabee ScreenFlow

  • thanks :D what video recorder do you use?

  • I'm new to video making and your lessons are invaluable. You probably will never fully realize how useful you have been to others. May your future be filled with good luck.

  • Good info

  • ur a koogan.

  • How would I go about making a freeze frame into a picture, that I could import to FaceBook?

  • you can drag n drop the image from your viewer into the browser if you want. from there you could export them too.

  • or if you want to remove the audio w/o the video just go to the button next to the mouse tool on the second left looks like a diagonal eight this will do it too

  • Great stuff, really helped me out. How do I extract scenes and make a picture? I would like to make pictures from some of my footage.

  • I think you should be able to render out a JPEG. just have your video i frame long

  • I was hoping you would post a tutorial showing how to extract pictures.

  • thanks !!!!!

  • thanks for putting in the time to show others how to do some things they we may not know! Thanks!

  • helpful video learned alot :p

  • by the way all u guys whot want an even quicker way to remove audio just press on the keyboard alt or option whatever name you prefer and click audio or video it will select either one without the other

also on my channel pretty soon there will be an iPod ad made with final cut express so plz watch and I will sub u

  • Yeah, I figured that out a day after I recorded this ha

  • OMG, thanks! That's so much easier than cutting out a frame and cutting and pasting it a million times.

  • very helpful. also good to the point. didnt have to sit thru 5 min of video just to find out what i wanted to know.

    Good job!

  • Good job, thank you all the time

  • you know to take the audio off, you can just hold down Alt and click on the audio? It will just highlight the audio track so you can do anything you want with it.

  • This is off topic but I couldn't find a video about it... How do you change the duration of multiple clips at once? I do slideshows mostly and it's a pain to go through and change the picture durations one by one. Is there anything to help?

  • Highlight all the clips and then press "Command+J" and perform the speed change. I have a tutorial on speeding up and reversing clips so you may want to check that out.

    P

  • You know, that Option clicking the audio highlights ONLY the audio...

though the freezef rame thing is quite useful

  • thanks

you made my day with this stuff

  • thanks so much for these tutorials, thanks! btw...can you do a video explaining what it is you press and un-press to do certain things. for example...if you're going to press command-B, to do something, what do you press next to not be in the same function? that always confuses me on a mac.

  • good shit!!! thanks

  • thanks

  • Why would you want to delete the audio when you can just turn the volume all the way down. However the freeze frame tutorial was helpful.

  • to save render time

  • But it actually takes five seconds to render it. Also what if you realize you want the audio back when you are editing something? You will have to go back and get the original clip and do whatever you did to it all over again. Well anyways it doesn't matter. I subscribed.

  • because some clips need audio and some don't

  • Rock on man, THANKS!

  • Thanks so much!!! YOur videos are so clear and easy to follow!

    Thanks SO much! :]]

  • so helpful! love your videos, thank you!

  • Just unlink the video from the audio

  • cool

  • Is there anyway to take those freeze frames and save them as pictures in your iphoto?

  • just use grab

  • mine does not let me drag clips anywhere. i have to copy and paste them. do you no how to fix that

  • Great video man! you really helped alot! thanks!!!

    5/5 and sub!

  • Thank man for the lessons i like the way you are explaining

  • thanks

  • how do you not have to render everything? i cant watch any of my clips in the timeliine without waiting like 5 minutes to render each vlip =[

  • i want a good movie software and I was not sure what to get. I saw Final cut pro online and came 2 youtube to get tips. Your video makes me want to really buy this thing. Great JOB!! Just one question. Will this software work well with a PC? or should I trust a mac better

  • They do not make this program for pc. Programs like this dont work well on pc anyway. You should get a mac with final cit express

  • Already got the new aluminum macbook PRO and Final cut express 4 HD... Thanks for responding though :)

  • Sorry I typed out my response to you about a month ago, but for some reason YouTube did not add it. I should have checked up on it, my bad. Anyway, glad you got a mac and Final Cut...it will serve you VERY well

  • Thanks..ur videos helped me with final cut

  • Hey - good job on the vid. Here's a little tip - a quicker way to select just the audio tracks to delete them is to just hold OPTION when you select it with the selection tool. That way you don't have to lock a track first, then delete, then unlock, or click the linked selection button.

  • Yeah thanks I should have included that method as well in the video. I just learned it first off using locks and so thats just what came to my mind first. Thanks

  • I want some dafe napes for me to ate at!
