@nickray76 except that u can't cast purple sun at lizardmen, they discard all 6's and as u can have 2 dispel scrolls it's near impossible to do. Also the chosen with 2 warshrines is also cheesy but anybody who knows how to play will just ignore the unit or throw zombie at them. No sorry this lizardmen list is so cheesy it shld come with some biscuits

I congratulate Shawn for remaining cheerful and sportsman-like throughout, as always. I'd rather watch Shawn at the helm than two tournament guys anyday. Since the point of the game is to have fun, I think Shawn clearly won pretty convincingly.

Btw, I want a shirt that says "Warhammer Fantasy: Toilet Edition".

Cheesy lizardmen list? This is nothing compared to my gaming club, try facing 30 Chosen of Tzeentch backed with two Warshrines on a regular basis.

@Jesyce86 thank you! at least you know the game and dont cry like all these other kids on youtube. Chosen are so nasty, warshrines are abusable and they player basically will make that unit unstoppable. I suffer hard against chaos warriors and guess what people, cry about dwellers all you want but pit of shades and purple sun will put a lizardmen army to sleep, I tests, guess what our I is.... yup and were the cheesy ones?

Also, I'm still a noob when it comes to fantasy, but can you measure the distance from your unit to your opponents unit (when not checking for charge), during your movement phase? He was measuring his Salamanders to make sure he was exactly a flamer template away. Is this acceptable in Warhammer fantasy?

@valegorn Yes in 8th edition you can measure distances at any time for any reason. Big departure from previous editions.

@newborn6 I was asking myself the same thing. Does anyone know if that is allowed? Can anything move like that? There are no turns in this edition so can anything move on the spot like that? You do a reform and still move (but not march) if you have a musician but that's different than just pivoting and marching.

The man is well versed in the rules to benefit him and why shouldn't he be? When you play your army you want to play it to the best of your capabilities. Don't be hard on him just because he isn't checking all of Shawn's moves as well. It's hard enough to remember everything for your own list.

Don't be so hard on the other guy, he just plays with a more competitive style than Shawn and maybe that's the way the play in his gaming group. Shawn might be the most friendly opponent in the history of wargaming and it don't seem fair to compare anyone with him. The other guy have never played being watched by thousands of viewers before, I guess he is a bit nervous and want's to bring his A-game. Also, he did tell Shawn to remember the Thunderstomp at one time. Try to see the positive things

@captaingallas Thank you very much. This is a very kind and measured view. It is usually best to err on the side of kindness, and not pick a man apart. I got to know Brad during this trip and he is an A-1 guy, also a long-time client of ours. That's what I love about Valhalla, we get to meet long-time clients (and new people!), spend a weekend in a mansion in the high mountains, eat and play wargames to our heart's content.

I don´t play fantasy but trying to learn by watching.. did they do it right when Shawn had to roll to hit and wound against the salamanders, and after wounding, randomize the wound between the skinks and salamanders? Maybe it's right, but that makes it T5 skinks. Seems more logic allocate the hits before rolls eather by choice or by dice.

@captaingallas T4 Salamanders, 5+ armor save. YES you randomize AFTER wounds on the monsters with the Monsters and Handler rule.

this is very different than 7th ed. if thats why the collective youtube community is so confused.

For an opponent so well versed in the rules, there's definately selective attention to certain details. Missed a thunderstomp and a fear check on the necrosphinx, unless I missed that.
