Could you post the details of this version..? I once owned an Edda Moser CD with a number of arias and IIRC some opera excerpts.. and I am almost certain that this is a different version. Her singing here is different, and the orchestra and conducting a considerably better. Unfortunately, I don't own that CD any more.. May have been EMI.. or possibly Decca..

@AulendilElessar I just love Edda in this piece (specially the recitative), even when some might argue she's screaming; she brings out Alceste's inner turmoil. I would just love to scream like her then, with the same intensity and passion, just like Callas, Gencer and others.
