  • AdeToz: Saro Wiwa and Co. bought the propaganda that Igbos wanted their oil hence he sided with the northerners who took his life. Igbos were very quiet in all this time as a payback to those that conived against them. In a twist of ironies, massive oil fields have been found in Imo and Anambra not to mention Abia. The prospect of close alliance is unattainable just as the Igbo must fight his fight alone and others must do likewise.

  • @Nnfefe u see this seige mentality is at the heart of the social disease that is crippling our country and it is what still makes African nations look like children in comparison to other nations in the world.

  • "To take away the resources of the people and refuse to give them anything in return is to subject them to slavery". Unfortunately Mr Wiwa, that situation still persists today even right under the nose of your own son Goodluck Johnathan. It's a shame!!!

  • RIP Brother Saro-Wiwa. Your couragious works will never be forgotten!

  • Good morning Saro, oops, he's dead. You wore your anti-Igboness as a badge of honor. Igbos would have cried with you but their eyes had been dry for a longtime. Igbos should stay neutral.

  • @Nnfefe and why do you think he wore that anti-igbo badge my friend...?

  • @AdeToz He was told that Igbos want their oil. Igboland is presently awash with oil from Abia, Imo and Anambra. Silence and neutrality were the paybacks Igbos gave him and the rest is history

  • @Nnfefe U are right my friend...... I think Igbos would have played a major role in bringing justice to him. $15mil for his death, that's it? Shell should have developed that region. Oh well!!! Where do they think Nigeria's oil came from in the 50s and 60s. Hausas and the rest of Nigeria knew it that's why they didn't want the igbos to secede from the republic. It wasn't until recently in the late 80s oil was being extracted from Niger Delta,

  • @Nnfefe Saro Wiwa was particularly skeptical of the Igbos seceding because he believed the the other minorities of the delta region would still have little say in the oil resources. This is something the Igbo deny but if you are been realistic you would see that Saro Wiwa has a point.

And please can't you see that the prophecies of Saro Wiwa about the Niger delta has come to pass in Nigeria today. If the Yourbas and Igbos backed him then, Nigeria would be a different place.

  • the struggle continues...rest in peace kenule

  • Saro-Wiwa what took you so long to wake up? You helped the Nigerian government in genocide against Igbos during the Civil War and now you want the international community to come to your aid to stop Nigerian genocide against Ogoni? What goes around comes around. Only if you were awake in 1967...All of you dreamers who thought you had a stake in Nigeria are now waking up...a bit late aint it?

  • @Jackmosh Actually he was murdered. if you are against shell paying their dues and treating the people of Ogoni with respect then I'm very sorry for you. This wasn't just about the people of Ogoni, it was about the whole of the Niger Delta area. If Ogoni people were treated with respect and in a humane way, then everybody in the Niger delta would have felt the rippled effect. That is Schools would have been created, Hospitals, good roads, people wouldn't have to starve to death!

  • unfortunately the support for Saro Wiwa has dried up internationally after indigenes started kidnapping foreign nationals for ransom, sabotaging oil pipelines and engaging in the oil bunkering trade thereby creating more devastation and damage to the environment, this is the most beautiful part of Nigeria with the best beaches and creeks blessed with a sea port that can compete with Lagos in tourism, but there is a travel advisory warning in website of all western countries against Niger delta

  • R.I.P, KEN, DONT WORRY, THE NIGER/DELTA MILITANT WILL FIGHT IT ALL.

  • TO ALL NIGERIANS..

BEWARE OF THE NASTY DEVIANT CHARACTER BELOW NNFEFE AKA 'THE BLACK HOLE'!

THIS DEVIANT IS HELL BENT ON PUTTING FRICTION AMONGST THE NIGERIAN TRIBES,BY POSING AS AN IGBO MAN,AND POSTING NASTY COMMENTS ABOUT NIGERIA/NIGERIANS!

THIS CREATURE IS A CONGOLESE WAR CRIMINAL,CURRENTLY FACING EXTRADITION FROM AMERICA FOR CRIMES AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILDREN.

HE HAS TRIED TO GET ASYLUM IN NIGERIA BUT WAS REFUSED,SO HE IS GOING ON A 1 MAN DEFAMATORY CRUSADE AGAINST NIGERIA.

  • Stupid people witches and wizards,so you have the map with you. Oh there were only 3 parts mixed together why not 4 with your ogonys. You fail to know that it was divided to make way for this later called nigerian oil. You died and many will stil die. This is the beginning.

  • The Oil companies are trying their best to stop free energy ideas from spreading to common ppl.

We need to put an end to this corruption ,start generating your own electricity.

Look for the LT MAGNET MOTOR in youtube video search. Join the Revolution!!

  • KENETH WIWA WAS ANTI IGBO, the very people that trained him in school.

The Ogony are Igbos, but SABOTAGED the BIAFRAN ARMY and had them massacred by Nigerian soldiers.

OGONI thought that the HAUSA MAN loved him, but it is too late to realise they only wanted OIL.

OGONI, SORRY MY BROTHERS, YOU FOUGHT TO ADMIT THE ENEMY, YOU MADE YOUR BEDS and you have seen what the BEAST can do.

Your destiny and that of every Igbo man, woman and child lie together.

We leart. JOIN your brother, FIGHT d beast

  • I read about Ken Saro-Wiwa a few years ago and would like to honor his name in my 'AquarielCharms' eco care channel, not the channel I am writing from now. Would consider sending this video of as a video response to my "Farewell Aquatic Friends" video? Thank you. <3 AC

  • This man is my hero. A true Martyr.

  • Man with balls, heart and brain. Absolute respect to a man, a father, a poet, a writer and a hero.

  • a real ma with fire inside.

  • HERO

  • I love this man so much, I can't fathom how he was taken away from us by the very people that were supposed to be our own - so brutally and so plainly.

'They do to the Ogoni what they do not do in other parts of the world.' This very statement rings true for Igbo Land, Khoisan Land, Kikuyu Land etc! What a saint this man was...

The world has watched so many men perish, for shame UN, IMF, World Bank, Shell etc. For shame!

Government and oyibo na wayo, true story-o.

    One,

    - Brother Chimaobi

  • You supported Nigeria during the civil war to annihilate the Ibos. Ojukwu said to you

"Good Morning" when you were in jail. You just woke.

  • @Nnfefe Ojukwu would have done worst...afterall the Igbos were already oppressing other minors in the then eastern state .....do some research

  • @great2009ful Igbos are now laughing at you guys. Saro Wiwa was the architect of "abandoned property". Well, Igbos became very silent when he was in custody and the rest became history. Your areas are now waste land and you are now reaping the rewards.

  • @great2009ful u are very right...if Biafra seccesion went through, the minorities of the Niger delta would have been swallowed up by Igbos. This was something Saro Wiwa realised and something the Igbo still deny!

  • @AdeToz Criminals like you keep angling to maintain your Yoruba parasitic position on minority resources by stirring up the major evil that unifies the rest of NIGERIA - Unjustified hatred for the Igbo - who actually have their own oil which nigeria also exploits. Why do these minorities who hate Igbo still stand against nigeria's dis-integration? Won't it be of benefit if Ogoni, Ijaw, Urhobo, Itsekiri, Ekoi, Isoko etc go with their oil and leave Igbo alone? Who exploited Ogoni at last?

  • @blengike i'll ignore the bit where you called me a criminal and jump straight right to the bit where your shallow mind prevents you from seeing that my argument is not pro yoruba or anti igbo. The truth is I don't bloody care where the resources of Nigeria hails from. The real problem you should be addressing is why is our country still in the quagmire it is despite the wealth of its resources (human and natural) and please I don't have time for shallow minded tribalistic Nigerians like you.

  • @AdeToz Who exploited Ogoni in fifty years? = Hausa-fulani Islamic Jihadist genocidists and yoruba conniving oligarchs. But some fools in the minority ethnic groups still wanna point at the innocent, victimized, exploited Igbo. Idiots forever! I can't wait for these people to leave together in their own one-nigeria while Biafra goes its own way. These people ae driven by primordial instincts of hatred and jealousy and that is what unifies evil Nigeria against Igbo. God's judgment surely comes.

  • @blengike abeg you seem high on some tribalistic brouhaha, I tell you my friend, the day the divisive tribes of Africa get over their small mindedness, that day we'll shake the world. The day we judge each not on our culture, language or tribes, Africans and Nigerians would experience a glorious dawn but before then...Tribalistic chauvinist like you need to shut up and leave the future of our nation to those who are ready to work together regardless of tribe and ethnicities.

  • Well ... I did not understand much of what Ken Saro-Wiwa said in the interview because I am Italian, but from what I understand, and I read his biography, I realized one thing, injustice and corruption and idiocy!, what's in this world, he wanted the oil profits go to 50% for Nigeria, not to close completely the oil installations, now I have to try to get me a copy because I want SOZABOY carry as my last final exam at secondary school level,REMEMBE KEN SARO-WIWA!!!!

  • Bizzy you are absolutely true... i have just finished to read SOZABOY, and, as a italian student, i have decided to take it to my final oral exam!

  • Shameful that this video only has so few views. Ken Saro Wiwa's story and the story of the Ogoni people needs more exposure and understanding.

Thank you so much for posting this.

  • @bizzy17 maybe that's the reason why we have a lot of people who are ignorant about the reason why Nigerians come to the country

  • @bizzy17 - True! I sent links to CNN's Anderson Cooper's blog about SaroWiwa weeks ago along with other info but to no avail because CNN censors what they broadcast like the rest of them, but I write anyway. Anderson Cooper's logo "keeping them honest" are empty words meant to fool the public. It's said Nigeria's agony dwarfs the Gulf oil volcano (not spill) & their 50 yr struggle with Shell/BP. And now America's struggle begins with BP/govt. Eco-system are being ruined; we have no choice.
