Nice idea and fairly well done. Though I am amused you chose to use the worst Ben/Glory transition ever, een the creators acknowledge it's horrible. XD
@missjay012 It's the end of episode 1 of season 7. I LOVE that scene and am disappointed I couldn't find it on YouTube. I think it's an example of perfect writing, the way the monologue flows seemlessly but the vocab and tone changes to perfectly reflect each of the big bad's personalities. PERFECT!
@feliciab2 yes i totally agree with you! That secne is just epic, and shows the talent of Joss Whedon! The way all those bad guys was showed up was priceless! I looked up, but i didn't find it either, it's a shame, that is in my opinion one of the best scene of BTVS ^^
@megapimpsword I cant believe that Angel has such a small penis! Atleast it isnt round like Spike's dick! Oh my! That is like a burger so round! But angels is like half a french fry I cant believe that Sylar would put any of those in his mouth eeew! He should keep his mouth for LONG TASTY penises like XANDER'S OH MY!!!!! So SHarp like a spike!!!Or knife!!! Sylar had his vagina removed and placed on his face so he could blow job/ orgasm from Xander's manly juices of loooooooooooove
If you watch the first episode of season seven, The First turns into all of the Big Bads, and these are who it turned into, so these are obv who Whedon and the writers thought were the Big Bads... apart from Caleb.
@BeeWinchester93 Angel was the big bad of the 2nd season. first evil probably didn't change into him since he was a good guy at the time and therefore not very threatening
The First was, IMO, the best villain to be created on tv ever. Its inhuman nature, eerie appearances as dead people, capability to manipulate people by mixing truth with lies and all of that without even having a physical form. Its the only buffy villain that managed to get me scared and unsettled.
It was a villain that always managed to make its presence felt for viewers, bringing in that true feeling of dread and fear. And its greatest weapon was knowledge of human weaknesses.
Hmm you've got all right except season 2, 6, and I wouldn't really consider Caleb to be the big bad in season 7, He wasn't The First was. Caleb was working for the first. It really had no face since it could be every dead person. My list probably be similar minus those changes
Season1.....The Master
Season 2....Souless Angel
Season 3....The Mayor
Season 4.....Adam
Season 5....Glory
Season 6....Bad Willow (They even say who knew Willow would become the big bad)
ADAM AND CALEB WERE THE BEST. Glory was a fucking retard. The First was manipulative in real villain style (no appreciation for the good-bad balance, I liked it!), The Mayor was better of as human. Dark Willow had at least something human in her, Master was ok (but not the Wishverse Master), Angel sucked.
Buffy is a hell of a woman.
Editing was amazing. The freezing is not that much of a problem :)
Are you kidding?? Glory was the best villain in the series. She was fun, amazingly strong, pretty funny, and just plain evil in her own way. She didn't give a rats ass about anyone but herself and her plan to succeed. Sure, she was that typical 'dumb blonde' but still, hell of a villain. You really think Buffy stood a chance against her without any use of her friends and other items? XD
@Aamzy786 Actually I didn't mean 'retard' in a 'dumb blonde' sort of thing. I just meant how the human emotions and feelings got the her near the end, and just 'cause she had to feed on other people's brains to survive. She had to be Ben and that screwed her up as a villain. And as for defeating her... She pretty much only needed Willow as far as her friends helping her.
I don't really consider Drusilla to be the Big Bad of Season 2. In my opinion the season was cut in half, with Spike being the Big Bad in the first half and Angel being the Big Bad in the second half of the season. There was really only one episode in the entire season where Dru was in charge.
I'm going to try to use solivant's logic and say that since The First took Spike's appearance, Spike = The First. Since The First took Eve (a potential's) appearance, then Eve = The First.
Also, I'm not trying to be rude (or use all caps to indicate I'm shouting), but I'm just pointing out solivant's mistake. There's nothing wrong with pointing out a mistake.
The First isn't Caleb. You're correct in that the First does appear to Buffy in the form of Caleb. However, the first also appears as Eve (a potential), Buffy, Spike, Drusilla, The Master, Richard Wilkins, Adam, Glory, Jonathan, and Warren. And if you count the episode "Amends", then that list also includes Jenny Calendar, Daniel, Margaret, and Travis.
There is no reason to say The First = Caleb simply because the First took Caleb's appearance when the First took many appearances.
@solivant That wasn't nice. Why did you say that? As a Buffy fan (just like you, I'm guessing), there is nothing wrong with analyzing and discussing aspects of Buffy.
THIS IS MY VIDEO. LET ME EXPLAIN. I PICKED ONE (UNO, EINES, SOLO), FROM EACH SEASON TO REPRESENT IT. I DIDN'T USE SPIKE OR ANGEL FOR SEASON 2 BECAUSE THEY R ALSO GOOD GUYS IN OTHER SEASONS. I DON'T USE DARK WILLOW, JOHNATHON, OR ANDREW FOR SEASON 6 BECAUSE I JUST DIDN'T WANT TOO. IF U WATCH THE LAST EPISODE OF THE SERIES; THE FIRST DOES APPEAR TO BUFFY IN HER BASEMENT IN THE FORM OF CALEB. DON'T TELL ME THAT FIRST ISN'T CALEB. IT IS. ANYTHING U DON'T LIKE ABOUT IT, FEEL FREE TO MAKE YOUR OWN.
@solivant I'm only voicing my opinion by the way, I'm not saying it's right. Just those were the big bads in my opinion. I totally understand the other choices. At the end of the day I'd rther have Warren hiding under my bed atr night than Dark Willow. She scary :s
@solivant He is not the first. He appeared to her in her basement after he was killed by her, because the 1st can only take the image of the dead. He was just a vessel to be used, he was not the 1st. Through the entire season it was made clear that the 1st could not touch anyone, Caleb certainly touched people. He was a tool used by the 1st, not the 1st itself.
@solivant The first can only appear as dead people, which it did as caleb once caleb was killed. The 1st can't touch anyone, caleb touched several people. Caleb was a tool, he was not the 1st.
@solivant The first can only appear as dead people, which it did as caleb once caleb was killed. The 1st can't touch anyone, caleb touched several people. Caleb was a tool, he was not the 1st.
Was there a reason why James Marsters, Danny Strong and Tom Lenk weren't included in the credits? Spike, Jonathan, and Andrew were big bads. Also, Caleb was no more a Big Bad than Darla, the Bringers, or Faith (in Season 3). Nathan Fillon also didn't play the First Evil but that point has already been mentioned.
@mitmfan Spike wasn't a big bad. Maybe he thought he was, but he wasn't . He never tried to end the world, he more often than not ended up saving it. And Johnathan and Andrew were just tools that Warren used, Warren was the only one of them who truly believed what he was doing was right. He was in my opnion the worst of all the Buffy villains. He had a soul and look what he still did? Also if you wanna debate it you could say Willow was the real big bad.
@Browncoatt22 Adam never tried to end the world, and he was the Big Bad. You don't have to end the world to be considered a Big Bad. The only reason he ended up saving the world is because he was a regular cast member for Seasons 4-7. What are your characteristics of a Big Bad?
@mitmfan I suppose the characteristics are that they are "The big bad". It's eay enough to tell who is the main villain and who isn't really. Spike was not even intended to survive his frst episode. He was a series regular, he was in the credits, he had a relationship with Buffy and spent the majority of his time on the show on Buffy's side. The main villains were The Master, Angelus, The Mayor, Adam, Glory, Dark Willow and The First Evil in my opinion. They were the main villainous entities.
@Browncoatt22 Actually, it was the episode "What's My Line?" (Spike's 5th/6th appearance) he wasn't suppose to survive, not "School Hard" (his first appearance). Also, Angel was a series regular who had a relationship with Buffy and spent the majority on his time on the show on Buffy's side. Also, the Trio didn't have anyone in charge of them (answers to no one) so they were at the top, weren't they?
@mitmfan Those charcters were the ones who didn't have anyone in charge of them, they were at the top of the chain. The Master controlled Darla, Angelus was definatly the alpha male in the group of him, Spike and Drusilla, The Mayor had control over Faith, Adam (who was kinda trying to eradicate humanity, which yeah not ending the world, but certainly ending peoples existance) was in charge of his other freaky demon buddies, Glory had her minions and The First evil lorded it over Caleb.
@mitmfan Oh, forgot Dark Willow, she was brought into fruition by The little silly nerds, but I do agree with the video on that one that Warren was the more villainous. But he wasnt the big bad, he wasn't the major threat. When Buffy analises the situation, it's Willow that is the priority. I guess the one who answers to nobody else is my definition, the one who is in charge.
@mitmfan She was. Deadly in her own right, but she was just a sideshow to Angelus. DId I not say that? Well I do kinda believe it. Still love her though.
I remember now. The first evil takes the form of any dead, undead, and resurrected people like Buffy, Joyce, Caleb, Spike, Drusilla, The Master, Mayor Richard Wilkins the third, Adam, Glorificus, Warren, Jonathan, Nikki, and Caleb. I think because Buffy died twice, The first evil likes to take her form more than the others.
season 6 is The Trio ( Warren, Jonathan, Andrew), Dark WIllow
season 7 Caleb, The First Evil
Caleb does not count as the First Evil, they are two different things, The First was just manipulating Caleb. but they were both big bads. I thought your video was good you just needed to add a few people.
@solivant Hey solivant you did an amazing editing job on this video ! You portrayed my fav villain Glory in all her Glory =P especially when the 'tara blowing the sand' noise was replaced with Glory getting hit by a truck.
PS- Anybody else find it strangely uncanny how the show makes Glory morph so perfectly? If you put her hair on Ben and Warren, might be strangely even more uncanny.
I agree. Those two were the ones that nearly ended the earth. Drucila was an important enermy in season two but not the big bad and the geeks weren't the big bad seeing as they were no real threat and had no real power. Willow was the one who nearly ended the world and it was her dark side that did it so Dark Willow counts as the big bad.
