  • The pilot tip-stalled the plane... his own fault. You can clearly see he had control all the way into the ground the way he was fighting it.

Why the extreme high-speed passes, though? If you make a scale plane, at least try and fly it at a scale speed.

  • That pilot stalled the plane! No lift, no fly! That last turn was way too severe. What a costly mistake after a great flight.

  • Hope it had a nice soft landing..Either way that sucks. I'm learning to fly my little Air hog Helicopter.. I've crashed it a time or two but it doesn't hurt it.. It's my first go at flying RC..so I am having some fun with it :)

  • soooo sad! i just crashed my 450heli earlier today..maybe 100euro damage - but this ... was a completly new car! poor guy. i always hate when this happens! this moment you realize the unevitable. i dont get the rest of the comments - cant be modelpilots but jerks! haha, where is the fireball? up your ass i hope!!

  • Gee. Flys just like the full scale version.

  • HAHAHAHAHA. WHERE,S THE BIG FIREBALL?

  • stall

  • DC = Death Cruiser

  • cool

  • does it have one turbine engine and two dummy engines?

  • q pasa por el 0:28 ???

  • Comment removed

  • D.C=design to crash

  • ....and in other news, United flight, 117, crashed about 10 minutes in flight. Well tom, i guess they just could not get those snakes off that plane.

  • even on rc,dc 10 crash all the time

  • Bank Angel

  • you all came here for 2:15

  • @g4r15 thats strange 'cause i came here for 2:27!

  • yess finally

  • am i the only one that thinks that ppl should fly RC planes with a few cameras on it... together with the proper controls (stick, throttle, rudder) and indicators (horizon, airspeed, altitude, etc)?

esp when landing. u cant approach a little further away when u have to eyeball your plane from the ground.

im sure the number of accidents will take a sharp dive if everyone does it.

  • @Ristar85 If it was easy then it wouldn't be any fun.

  • @Ristar85

Dude look up FPV r/c flight. It's getting popular for people to use a camera in the cockpit, expensive but cool. There are some awesome vids of people chasing cars and trains and stuff man. check it out!

  • Hard turn = Hard Crash - need to go easy on the joy stick!

  • no kaboom? my revenge will be swift :D

  • "concorde"

  • I'm no expert, but it looked as if he was in too steep of a bank for the airspeed he was carrying, and the plane simply stalled. He was able to pull out of the dive a bit towards the end, but was unable to apply power in time to save it.

  • wow ... not sure if this is an rc plane or giant peoples....

  • Cool I'm glad it crashed I wish it would have blew up in a fire ball and started the whole forest on fire..

  • Nice model. Looks very heavy, judging by its flying speed. Looks like it tip stalled while turning onto finals.

  • Aie... mdr

  • I would cry.

  • Must have been the engine bolt ..

  • crash at 2:22

  • well, even RC DC-10 also crashes.. fail

  • @orika001 lol that's the very first thing that came to mind when i saw the link for this

  • that was some tip stall!

  • DC = Design to Crash

  • I thought this is what DC10's were supposed to do!

  • I would like to make an L1011 RC : )

  • drop bear did it

  • Typical DC-10

  • thumbs up if you were waiting for an exposion at the end

  • @kkdjen What's an exposion?

  • @torquesport thefreedictionaryDOTcom/exposition. There you go my friend. Happy studying :)

  • did it fail, or did the pilot just get cocky?

  • OH My God... How many people died.... Did anyone escape... That's why I don't like to fly

  • @biorgymd It's a model only pride was hurt and probably the airframe...

  • CG is off and the wing loading too high, caused low stall air speed.

  • wow, that had to hurt, I mean the cost for fixing it because I doubt it could end in one piece

  • Looks to me it was a loss of air flow over the wings that caused the plane to loose control. Everything after that is history.

  • @JustPlaneCrazy86 Lose not loose!

  • its 911 all over again

  • Skwak sheet entery:

Pilot - Auto-land very rough on this aircraft

Mechanic - Auto-land not installed on this aircraft

Seriously though, it looked like you got into a spin, or the start of one. Was that what happened?

  • Pilot error. Tip stall. Left wing stalled first. Just like the "B-52 crash" on YouTube....

    Pilot Error.

  • It looks so real. Its not though its rc

  • 2:21.. plane was hijacked

  • Ohhhh yes..yes...yes...yes....

    horrible take off...and horrible approach...unfortunately a crash...

  • that was a lame crash

  • "from nowhere it loses control" - What? It looks pretty clear to me that it stalled when he attempted a loop.

  • how much woudl thing cost to buy?

  • @dcryan77 about 500,000 dolars

  • "crashed hard" exaggeration much -_- That plane proberly wasn't even badly damaged, defo savageable i know that for a fact. Most rc jet crashes end in a fireball...

  • i guess you didn't read the back of the box:"Crashes like a real DC 10!" "press here for sound of crash"

  • turned too tight, no lift

  • not that cool

  • crash at 2:22

  • willis, what did you do now..

  • Nodi, nose over dive in. Looked like a stall. Same thing happened to the Globe Master in Alaska. Looks like it's flying but, its not. It also looked like there was enough altitude to recover but there was a secondary stall after too much elevator. I have done this more than once. ;)

    Sorry for your loss.

  • Was such type of planes used in 9/11 too ?

  • Top marks for authenticity, it even crashed just like a real DC-10.

  • The plane loses control due to an over banked left turn at low speed causing a rollover with a loss of lift on the port wing. Classic pilot error on an approach especially in Naval Aviation. You must keep speed up in approach turns as steeper banks cause an increased stall speed. But hey, what do I know?

  • dc10 always had a history of crashes, seems not much changed in the model world

  • there are also people in?

  • tip stall?

  • Typical pilot error. Too slow speed in a tight turn. Learn to fly.

  • Dear santa....

  • @TheLeafStudios You're asking Santa for an RC jet that just crashed into some trees?

  • I would be careful with this. Those pesky bugs keep trying to get free rides...

  • Heavy on the left wing.

  • Oh well. I hope it was repairable. These toys are fun but expensive. I do get a kick out of RC guys talking 'scale' all the time, when these models weigh less than one seat cushion that the real pilot sits on.

Having scale size and shape, but balsa wood/composite weight makes the models very forgiving, and you can get away with a lot, but a tip stall like this is so common for large/light models.

Just remember - No rudder for turns when landing! In real planes, you don't get a 2nd chance.

  • tip stall....bummer

  • how fast is it going? in mph

  • oops

  • Shame

  • ahaha they died

  • Crash starts at 2:20

  • Like 99% of videos on Youtube, the video stops when the event happens. You video is called "Giant RC DC-10 Turbine Powered Crashes Hard". Yet there is only 2 seconds of a crash. And more than 2 minutes of non-crashing "action". Why not show us the reaction of the owner, the aftermath, the disappointment. We don't want to see it crash and instantly end.

  • Now you have learned the stall speed increases with bank angle and will never do it again! Just like me =)

  • @PilotoMAF No, the stall speed DECREASES with INCREASED bank angle, now as a comment made by someone with "Pilot" in their username, i'm disappointed.

  • @sjleeds2011 No way man! You are the first person in world who told me stall speed decreases as bank angle increases.

I know its wiki, but look this:

    Wiki link sufix /wiki/Stall_(flight)#Accelerated_and_turning_flight_stall

This is the first and most important lesson to take during high bank turns!

  • Wait a minute, is that a real RUWAY!!!

  • turning steeper and steeper at a slower and slower speed every time, will finally end in a spin.

  • @DiamondPilotDan

You may have a pilot's licence, but you have no maturity, manners or basic courtesy. Go away , and when your acne has cleared up and you have learned how to communicate with adults, not just your ignorant, pimply teenage friends, come back and show us what you know. At the moment that is ZILCH.

  • @CHOADspewer I can and will happily prove that I am a pilot and I have been accepted. Asshole.

  • @DiamondPilotDan my 2 cents. i actually believe you recently got your ppl. i got mine 20 years ago, and solo'd 4 months after my 16th birthday, and had 1,500 hrs and twin turbo prop rated by the time i was out of high school. so it is not uncommon. just takes parents with cash.

  • @b101aa2 I feel for you man! No true pilot likes loosing an aircraft no matter what they cost us to build.

  • @b101aa2 Im 14 and just started training for my PPL, can you tell me what the solo is like? Im gonna do it when Im 16 too

  • @averredude101 put into youtube search solo flight you will find a wealth of examples. it's not difficult. just plan it.

  • @b101aa2 plan it? You'll solo when your instructor thinks you're ready. Just plan it? I don't get that advice at all. Be prepared, know as much as you can know, get used to flying the pattern, cuz thats what it will be like. When you're doing everything and 5 steps ahead of what needs to happen, then you'll be ready. Trying to shoot for a target and plan for a day is probably the last thing you need to do.

  • Comment removed

  • @b101aa2 was gonna say, takes parents with cash. Im glad you included that.

  • @TheRealShroom that didn't make sense. takes parents with cash?

  • @DiamondPilotDan it's no different than flying with your instructor. My solo (15 yrs ago) was pretty boring, and just a stepping stone to where I wanted to be. I guess it was kind of fun to have that feeling of independence, but it was just another day at the airport.

  • Do you need any form of licence to fly an RC plane of this size? Imagine if that crashed into your conservatory...

  • maybe one day all rc aircraft should have a side/slip sensor connected to the rudder to prevent these from happening...lol.

  • Hmm high AoB perhaps? Lead to a wing drop so apply opposite rudder to counter! or do they not have rudders? could see the recovery but i guess when the wings were almost level the a/c had stalled so couldn't do much at that low level (early stages of a spin developing). have seen vids on a few rc a/c having the same fate due to high AoB and a real B52 crash in a similar fashion...quite sad really. oh well, it was a nice plane!

  • Great video and great plane, such a shame when they malfunction. :(

  • @barmybrummy1988 You mean when the pilot malfunctions. There was nothing wrong with the plane.

  • @FesterBable and your 100% sure of this? i only ask as the comment says 'but then from nowhere it loses control' as oppose to "but then from nowhere the pilot malfuntions and drops that big bad boy like a $2 whore"

  • ooooo el final me duelee!

  • I though this was a real plane at first -.-

  • every time I see these things in action it's of them being destroyed. What's the point in buying one and wasting your money? What's their life expectancy? 1 flight?

  • lol im glad it crashed. maybe it'll teach the guy who owns it not to spend huge $ on things that can break in a split second

  • @DiamondPilotDan Are you retarded? You can buy a car for $30,000 and crash it in a few minutes.....no one can expect the unexpected.

I am only taking a guess now but i presume your one of them people that don't work for a living and soak up your nations resources by expecting handouts, people who complain on what other people sepend there money on usually are anyway.

    Also get a hobby! :)

  • @barmybrummy1988 Hey prick. First of all it's much harder to crash a car than an RC plane (which doesn't serve useful purposes like cars do). also, I'm not one of "those people".. I'm 17, already a pilot, already earned $5K since I got my first job, I'm about to graduate from a high school ranking in the top 1% in the nation, and I've already been accepted to the best Aeronautical university in the U.S.. So I'm a success. Also, you made some 3rd grade grammar errors: their* you're*

  • @DiamondPilotDan Hey fanny rash. First of all i dissagree i think statistically more cars are crashed daily than RC planes (i never mentioned anything about one been more useful or having more purpose than the other. Also congrats on not been one of them people and such a little tool instead, your a pilot and have made only 5k? your clearly not very good at it then. Top 1% of douchbags? what aeronautical university is that then? I never said im a grammer natzi, i know my spellin is bad and what?

  • @barmybrummy1988 dear god.. Think. Cars serve a useful purpose. They're well worth the risk to own. RC planes don't serve a vital purpose that cars do. AND more cars crash per day because there are hundreds of millions of cars moving every day, and not as many RC planes. The percentage of RC planes that crash compared to cars that crash would show RC planes crash more. And I'm 17! I legally can't be hired as a pilot. I work at a restaurant. And google ERAU. Don't be a jerk.

  • @DiamondPilotDan

Ya Da.....your fulla shit. You havn't been accepted anywhere, and you don't have a pilots liscence. You are number one in the nation of masterbators. Now go away.

  • @DiamondPilotDan nice mate your the best

  • 2:21

  • are you kidding me? 3k for a model turbine engine?

  • @contemporarymonk Negative, not 3k for a model turbine engine but 3k for a REAL turbine engine. $3,000 for one of these is not bad when you consider the same engineering went into this as one that carries 300 people across the atlantic, the only real diffrence is the amount of materials used.

  • where is the fuel kept on those things?

  • Looks like the left wing encountered a stall condition, not enough altitude to recover.

  • what was the damage?

  • Stall .... Nose down, nose down. It's going to go down anyway.

  • Impressive aircraft and flying...what a real shame!...

  • oh no, so a wonderfull jet, not crashed please.... i hope so he fly again ! best fly.

  • uhm.... the plane stalled. too tight of a turn it could had been made in mars and the same thing would have happened. operator error.

  • its a model of a DC-10 does it really surprise you that it crashed? lol Its amazing an engine did not fall off! lol

  • FAIL!:)

  • Did it survive the accident?

  • @adamswindells1

looking at how it went in, and where it went in, it looks to have gone into soft vegatation, and at a flat angle, given there was no smoke cloud, im guessing she WILL fly again

  • Overspeed.

  • How many were on board and did you recover the black box?

    at 2:08

pilot: please return your seats to the upright position, fasten your seat belts and prepare for landing

    2:15

pilot: stewardess bring me a double shot of the strongest shit we have on board.

    2:22

pilot couldnt hold his liquor threw up everywhere

  • @imaking867 LMAO.....FUNNY SHIT, DID YOU RECOVER THE BLACK BOX?

  • the angle of attack is too high i think.

  • 2:20 ROFL

  • how much would one cost? pls

  • Epic fail at 2:20

  • crash at 2:20

  • If anyone told me I was gonna travel on a dc-10, I would FREAK OUT!!! after the amounts of accidents theyve had,

  • Is that really jet engines on that RC or is it a dub over. They sound like the real thing.

  • @rock853okg They do have model jet engines, so I'm guessing it's probably the sound of those vs. a dub over.

  • @rock853okg no dubbing. it's a turbine. real jet engines are normal in rc. look on the right column here, that's mostly turbine. the average turbine is $2500-$3500 each

  • @b101aa2 The jet engines are made with REAL panther bits, so you know it's good.

  • @rock853okg ....Yes, those are real small scale jet engines! Very expensive. Some jets doing over 200 mph.

  • where can i buy this planes????

  • @TheViktorgernandt If you have to ask, then you probably can't afford it :)

  • FAA called says they want the black box off the bitch.......thought on captains mind before crash FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!! after crash thats a ton of money I lost....

  • its just doing what DC-10s did best crash

  • That thing is freakin sweeet, wish I had it :(

  • Ohhhh :O

  • Horrible to see, from that height a recovery would have been expected but when that bird bit, my it really bit hard. Turbines would take to long to spool up to help recover her air speed. hope she was repairable.

  • epic

  • stall happens....

  • Can you get insurance on this thing?

  • And the whole time, the passengers were screaming and running around the plane...

  • It's make me so happy!!!!

  • It's a dc10, it was bound to crash

  • as an rc-freak myself i know how hard this is.all the money, all the work....the time...

  • ooo my worrdd...

  • thats as scale as you can get its dangerous like real plane XD

  • It looks like he stalled it.

  • 911 :O damn its fast

  • what speed is it doing in the air?

  • No no no ==> translate ==> My bankaccount isn't recovered from this plane. Where can I get money???

  • bloody made in china

  • @KaizVideos made in germany. the radio equipment however, probably made in china.

  • @b101aa2 aww man im ashamed 2 be german now
