I remember when I was a young man in Blackpool and went ot see a Petulengro, think it was Sarah a fortune teller, she told my future then said if I pay her another £50 cash (on top of £20 I already paid) she'd "put me in her grandmothers book" and will alsways have good luck. She told me not to tell anyone about it either. 20+ years later I never told anyone and my life is crap

Blackpool is the most depressing place I have ever been in my entire life. What's the suicide rate there? 9 to 10 I would imagine. O, and when you want to book an hotel in depress city, book the Warwick Hotel. It's like a real life time machine that brings you back to the year 1911. The food tastes like that to. I'm actually ashamed to be British when I think of this place.

A the top there is a sheet of glass called the walk of faith and when you look down you see the bottom. You can jump on it aswell. Find out what happens yourself

Blackpool Tower is such great architecter i like these magnifisant buldings bult and & engaine by the great Victorians i enjoy going up the tower on a clear day you see far as Liverpool, North Wales

the lake district & winter hill aka Rivington Pik, some say the tower is not much use, actually the tower has performed many functions over the years, in World War 2 the tower was use by militery as a radar station & watch tower

Urgh, when i went to Blackpool I was pretty brave but im absolutely terrified of heights and i HAD to go up there, i was crying so so so so much!! And omg how mean is it that im terrified of heights and i've been 'forced' to go on the london eye AND blackpool tower!! The rest of the tower was absolutely lovely though. My brother and stepbrothers spat off of the very top :L Lol

Glad you all like our tower. I planned to propose to my girlfriend at the top with the illuminations shining below but was thwarted as a scouser had jumped off and killed himself. I had to propose on a bridge over the promenade. Been divorced 10 years now ;)

on one my early visits to blackpool tower in the 80s I remember the lifts driven by a wheel the lfit driver would use, those creek and ratle all the to the top by 1991 as i remember the still had the wheel but this time I think they had a electronic moter and the lifts were painted yellow for reason oh they an port hole in the floor off lift

I remember my first visit to Blackpool Tower in 1982 although me my mum and nan never actually went that week but me and mum went up in the 1985 it was the centenery year of blackpool tramways, i remember the lifts at the tower used to b operated by the lift driver who wud turn a wheel to drive the lift up and down and I can tell you they used creek and rackle, now does any out there have footage of tower accent in those days maybe some film a guided tour of tower as far bak as 1900s?

blackpool tower was amazing when i went a couple of years ago! it has LOADS inside! the circus was amazing, i LOVED the mini roller coaster type thing when it took you through time, and the walk of faith was so good and the little figure that was on the top of the building that said "ouch" made me laugh!

i had my picture taken on that glass floor, i'm 15 and i was like :S QUICKLY TAKE THE PICTURE!

If u look down it there is a painted body at the bottom and it says OUCH! next to it!

But i really looooove blackpool especially the pleasure beach!!

i'm going the week after next i'm satyin t a sea front hotel which is 0.7 miles from the pleasure beach.... hooray we don't have to walk all the way down the promenade!

you have to pay to go inside the tower itself the top of the tower is a ride but once you pay to enter you can use all facilities and get a ticket to one of the 2 circuses of the day
