  • I am damn happy I finally found the orginal. After a decent amount of searching. Google doesnt seem to like things not in english.

  • 1.000.000. times better than the cover version by Beckii Cruel

  • Wasn't this song on Evangelion as well?

  • @salmongirl14 Yes, Anno chose this 70's record for the soundtrack as "Tsubasa wo Kudasai" means "Please Give Me Wings".

Guess what EVA Unit-01 gets in the scene where this plays.

  • I preferred the Mucc version

  • I love the lyrics and every version of this song <3

  • It's good to enjoy the present, but always remember the past.

  • first time i listen the original version. Im totally in love with this song :)

  • dareka ore ni tsubasa wo kudasai!

  • So this is the original. I think I like the Evangelion version more just because I find children voices more fitting.

  • Hermosa canción... Suena casi como una versión japonesa de Mocedades. Esto va directo a mi reproductor de mp3 y no se borrará jamás

  • Does anyone know the title of the illustration at 0:33?

  • ok so, i heard this song by K-on! and i thought this song is familiar, so i watched this video and i remember! this is the song my dad used to sing years back! (yes I'm Japanese) i can't believe i didn't realize this sooner... good times...

  • nice song, every version has it's own advantages...

    LOVE this song !

  • so is this the original version of the song?

cuz I heard this song in many animes (K-on, EVA and Beck)

  • @lich610 Yes! This is the original version. At 1971 this song is released by "Akai Tori"(mean "Red Bird").

  • @fuchiichisuke Don't forget Nichijou! :#

  • I can't chose which i like better... The original always has an advantage and this one is damn good with all the back ups and instruments but i also love the upbeatness in the k-on! version.

  • @noxie1 have you also tried listening to the Mucc version of "Tsubasa wo Kudasai?"

  • @wiimasterplayer I certainly did, that's the version i use now to practice singing this song it's not too slow and not too fast.
