really good review. only say that i wished you would've walked around and shown the game more when you were talking about the mindreading skill and dragon. besides that really good. And i also would've enjoyed it if you talked about the choice and plot elements in the game without giving away spoilers. Personally, this game seems amazing and the combat looks good. I loved Diablo. It looks like it would be one of the best/better RPG's out there, next to certain bio ware or bethesda games.
i feel stupid for not buying this game yesterday.. now i have to wait till tomorrow. i couldnt wantch the whole review cos i got jealous i want to play. but this review convinced me to get it. looks cool should keep me busy
You can turn into a FUCKING DRAGON!! Hell im getting this game from xbox live PRONTO! By the way nice review you did, you just sold me this game heheheh
Hey i have a question, if my PC can run The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion, on highest setting, do you think that my PC could handle Divinity 2 with the highest settings without and problems? Thanks.
@poopiepants104 Without seeing your specs, I can't say much. But I think you could run it, yes. As for playing on the highest settings, I don't know. I personally played through the game on High/Medium settings and never tried the Very High options. I don't care too much about playing games on the absolute highest settings.
But the easiest way to find out whether or not you can run it would be to try the demo, it's on the official site (check the video description).
2) This review is a bit bit too long. Sure it goes over alot of things, but this could easily be done in around 20 minutes. Long reviews tend to get really boring at the end.
3) You never mentioned some important things, such as - what happens if you die. If it weren't for the death in the dragon fight part, I would not know that his game has perma-death (tho you can simply load your last save I guess).
1) It's actually the same character during the entire video, I simply changed the hairstyle at the illusionist. :p But yeah, I tend to have female chars in games. :D
2) I agree. I never really intended this as a "professional" kind of review, I just said the things that came to my mind. I'll try not to ramble too much next time.
3) To me, perma-death means that you can't even load your save if you die. This game has autosaves, though they are kinda rare.
1) Ah, I see. Never played the game, so I don't know how the stuff in it works.
2) =]
3) It was still worth mentioning tbh, because some people who got into your game because of this review might feel kind of surprised when they die and they have to re-load the game.
@zingmars I kinda did this review on a whim, so it's uncertain whether or not I'll do another one. :p If I come across another game I want to talk more about, you might see a video of it, but I don't have any specific plans at the moment.
@gondule Well yeah, usually people do quicksaves very often, but sometimes when something engaging is on (puzzle, epic battle or something) one tends to forget to hit f6 (or whatever you usually bind your quicksaves to) often, and when you die you start to rage. :p
@zingmars All single player games (that I've ever played) have permanent death. Only games that didn't were MMORPGs what games have you played that didn't require a reload? Struck my curiousity.
@jerimiahy here are many many more games in which the death is not pernament (either it ressurects you, or there is some sort of mechanic that prevents you from needing to reload). Example? Torchlight is one (you can turn on 'permanent death' but it's not forced on the player). Minecraft is another (tho it doesn't really count, does it?).

Nice and informative review but I could have done without the 6 minute explanation of the mindreading mechanics oÔ

I absolutely loved this game. When you get your dragon form it's so awesome. Definately one of the most underated RPGs this gen.

can you customize the look of dragon form
junfaa 5 months ago
@junfaa Kind of. There are certain dragon armors that can only be equipped in dragon form, but that's about it, as far as I remember.
