  • looks like an ariel atom, did you buy the kit or just base it on that

  • haha! "omg it drives!" shiiiit....it better. i don't like the frame styling but w/e. i'm sure that with some curves it could look really freaking nice.

  • Thats a nice job man.

I have always contemplated building a car/kit car, but somehow the overall hassles of getting it a VIN and insured and all that just seemed like such a pain..

  • your wife sounds really sweet! you're lucky!

  • Nice wheels!

  • nice job, if i were to drive something like that where i live i would get pulled over , 2 seconds after i go on the road, what motor you use

  • That's very cool. Congrats.

What kind of body are you planning for it?

  • Sweet project! A wife that supports that kind of crazy shit is definitely a keeper! I had a girlfriend that didn't show me that kind of support when I was working on my mustang project. That's one of the reaons I'm no longer with her haha

  • so how do you get it licensed? that is the most important aspect of the whole thing.

  • how fast does it goi\

  • Building a car then realising he cant see out the back over the engine haha

    Awesome car tho

  • clever bloke....wish i could do that...

  • "Holy cow! It works Batman!"

  • if i were daddy i would roast the tires off. lol =p

  • So it's an automatic using a Astin Martin transaxle?

  • More of the car and less of the kid please

  • Nice job, I've daydreamed about he same sort of thing. With some sheetmetal on it to keep the wind from beating you to death it'd be a lot of fun to drive. I was thinking about a torsion bar suspension using the cross bar set up that midgets and sprinters have. Does it tend to want to push the front end much? Looks like a little higher roll bar is needed,

  • Nice car end family...american dream DONE to you..

  • @ 4:16 AND I QUOTE ---> "Oh mommy can't sit down, mommy's fat. If i get down I wont get back up." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @Floortofourracing "mommy" was actually 9 months pregnant at the time.

  • "Mommy can't sit down. Mommy's fat. If I sit down, I can't get back up." HAhahahaHA

  • @ryanhall2013 "mommy was actually 9 months pregnant at the time.

  • awsome man congr

  • That kid's thinking..."And someday it'll be mine!"

  • ..i would spend some money for a rear-view mirror, otherwise its a nice car you built.. how many horsepower does it have?

  • lmao "momy can't sit down, momys fat"

  • great job man and great wife support . ok than watch me in youtupe ( made in bahrain )

  • Hi Neil if ihave great wife like u i will not stop Building cars

  • Hi again because i a built my kitcar my silf i now how hard it is so be proud of 2 things u and ur great wife

  • 8/10 for the chassis**

    and...

1 billion/10 for the wife and the kid(s)!!! You are one lucky man ;)

** (it will require some extra diagonal tubing between the front wheels and the cockpit's sides, in order to keep it strong enough in case of frontal impact) Did you have any ideas about the exterior design? Something like Ford Indigo concept or Ferrari Consiso would look quite good on that chassis.

  • I don't care how fast you were going. Toddlers never sit upfront, or ride without seat belts.

But great video, I'm sure your son's proud.

  • cool car sir ,you have all my props!!!! bad ass ride you go man!!!

  • dude NiCE!

  • it is actually road legal!, wow, nice work

  • nice, man. I will be doing something similar in about a year.

  • i have the same seats and racing harnesses in my del sol lol

    nice car

  • wait thats street legal!!!!! i want 1

  • That is a really cool project. Ive been want to build something for quite a while. I have an 85' Rxy I but I 302 for V8 in which is fun but I want something built from scratch. I built a chassis for a 49' International that turned out well but I sold it when I got bored. How do you register something like that? I am sure it would be different in my state than yours. It sure looks like fun!

  • at the first video id did not like it, to square, but at 2 glance, it looks pretty well done, needs some panels doug, but it is a angoing project. The engine is a corvette? but what transmission is on it?? i am planning on to build my own, and just doing some research. oh, i forgot, your neightbour needs a roof :))

  • way to support your man!!

  • wonderful job....can you posts the specs and some photos too?

  • Dude that is so cool, congrats man i always wanted to build a car like that, maby some day :)

  • was that the wife or the daughter? lol

  • congrats. Your family seems very proud of you.

  • ...its a very momentous occasion lolzzzz

  • i would have liked to see some acceleration

  • that should be the new batmoblie :)

  • How would you go about getting this registered? I am attempting something vary similar but I am going to stick with the 3.8 out of a GTP

  • How would you go about getting this registered? I am attempting something vary similar but I am going to stick with the 3.8 out of a GTP

  • @fullythrottled get it inspected by a city worker. you will need ID number stamped on it some where

  • How would you go about getting this registered? I am attempting something vary similar but I am going to stick with the 3.8 out of a GTP

  • wow great car did you get any performance figures on it? does it have traction control? probly needs it, again great work

  • wow great car did you get any performance figures on it? does it have traction control? probly needs it, again great work

  • nice.

    great job :D

must have been a bunch of work

  • go daddy go !! hahaha ! xD

  • This is pure genius

Any engineer will tell you the exhaust is perfect. There is plenty of room to service all the components. I cant help but wonder what a body and a frame mod for doors would be like. 3000lb luxury sports car.

  • cute kid :)

  • go daddy go!

  • you must be very proud. well you deserve to be proud of yourself u made a great car. that is what a true gear head would do.

  • You such a good Mommy!

  • CONgratulations man nice car

  • the frame is to weak, when you brake, it bends in the middle, just watch 5:51, the frame bars are to long, anyways i think it was fun building it, nice job

  • It's not the frame that is bending, it's the front suspension doing its job.

  • is it not just suspension travel under braking? what a job though, i can't believe one man built this.

  • Yeah, the Ariel Atom's side frame is curved with up and down triangle pattern that gives it rigidity. Neil's frame looks more linear with less triangle structures.

  • wow your close minded that was the cars front suspension lowering not bending!

  • wouldnt it be cheaper quicker and cooler to make all cars this way? could have custom fibreglass body that you could change whenever

  • rain....snow.... coldness.... lol

  • yeah rob a bank or steal something and the change the body it would be candy for people like me lol

  • not too safe

  • Hells yeah! It could be like the Barbie for men.

  • badass how much did it cost to build and are you doing to build a body for it

  • lets see wat it can do instead of slow laps around the block. tape the cam to the frame or somethin and haul some ass

  • This guy makes kids just as good as he makes cars. Awesome job!

  • Couldn't have said so better myself. LOL

  • i like erikinhawaii idea we need more guys like this making american cars

  • Great!

  • i just need a place to build . i own everything but a welder a big compressor and a floor. is there any help in west texas

  • Guys like this should be designing and making America's new cars.

  • you're the man bro, you're the man !

  • one word awesome

    -Politowic

  • nice and the wife stayed around too

    most wives leave lol

  • checking the oilstick while engine is running ey??

  • shouldn't be a problem, just hope no smoke comes out when you pull it 8-P

  • this is so awsome ...

i hope i can make a car myself too

  • love the car lol mommy's fat XD that sounded so funny :P

  • You my sir, are a brilliant man...

  • I think this is fantastic and you've got one amazingly supportive family! Congrats- Are you going to build a body for it?
