If so, I would like to point out that in order to have that much kinetic energy, you would have to have something akin to about 20,000 pounds of composition B go off UNDERNEATH the building. The debris didn't have that much inertia.

The World Trade Center buildings were designed to collapse "pancake style" if their structural integrity was destroyed. They designed it that way so the buildings would not topple into other buildings like gigantic dominoes. That is why they looked like controlled demolitions.

WTC 7 was the closest building to one of the Towers, so the integrity of the foundation COULD have been compromised by debris shaking the ground.
