Can someone tell me what happened in the end of season five? I know rory drops out of yale but how, why, when did she get the idea and how did she tell her mom, and what happens then - lore' proposes to luke, but why does rory have to do community service? what'd she do?

Logan's dad who Rory was doing the internship thing for told her she didn't have what it took to be a journalist, so she starts rethinking the her major and future, so she drops out of Yale. She has to do community service because when she was upset she and Logan stole a yacht.
