This is a premium-quality match-up - Savage and Piper - a long-running program/feud with these 2 would have been great, as they both had great in-ring psychology and despite Piper's rep as merely a brawler, he was actually quite skilled in the ring too, but WWF writers never really let him show that - he could have had great matches with Savage - too bad it never really materialized.

Ever since WCW was sold to WWE wrestling has gone down the drain. Today is just about Cena, Cena and Cena nobody else.

TNA might never be in the same level WCW was. The only difference is that WCW had a Ted Turner and TNA doesnt.

If you notice at every RAW the first 15-20 minutes is just blah blah blah, match 5 minutes and then another 15 minutes of more blah.

But this match I wonder why Vince never had a major story line between Savage and Piper.

Apparently McMahon is still pissed at Savage for leaving WWF (mid 90's) They had a verbal agreement regarding Savage re-signing with Vince. Savage was offered big money and peaced out. Much like Lex Luger, Savage won't be over the McMahon house for Dinner anytime soon. Savage was my all-time Favorite and like you, I'm Pissed at WWE for being babies...let Savage make money for your company one more time!

Actually, Savage left on really good terms, which is what makes this whole thing so mysterious. He wanted to continue to wrestle, McMahon saw his in ring career as being over or very limited. They agreed to let him go and gave him a nice little sendoff on the Raw after he left, instead of ignoring his existence like they always did back then.
