My grandmother was from Missouri...and we always heard, "younse" and not "yinz.."...we thought it was a take-off from "you ones."...so "younse" turned into "yinz" somewhere along the line...(and in Ohio...I would hear "youse.".... (Hey..it is "jumbo" and "winda"...and another one my own parents use still, instead of "Saturday..." ...they say, "Serday." Anyone else hear that? Do another one!
