There is not a thing wrong with hugging a character at Disney. What is wrong is attacking them from rear. They don't have the same vision or balance as everyone else so running up behind and bear hugging is freaking scary and wrong to them and oh yes it is considered assult when you do that to them.

@FliXeRoCk107 It doesnt matter! The kid hugged the character and LIFTED him off the ground. If you notice Pinocchio shakes his hand for kids to stop. They have limited vision and are in costumes that can choke or hurt them seriously. Hugs are great. Just dont try and crush them

This is NOT great... People who do things like that are the whole reason why characters aren't allowed to just walk around anymore, thus ruining some of the magic. Plus, this is my FAVORITE classic character. This is an insult.

I was there and would like to clarify to all the haters: pinocchio was already being chased by a bunch of 5/6 year old kids, so we decided to join in for a laugh and then pinnocchio got hugged ( 0:12 ). THere was no hitting or assult! and last time i checked there was nothing wrong with hugging dudes in disnayland :L
