  • I feel exactly how you feel. I just don't care anymore what my Mom says, what some people at school might say...it's whatever. My decision is final. I'm going natural. I know this will make me happy....just do what'll make YOU happy =)

  • it up to u.. whatevery make u happy hun

  • Sophie's cute!!!!

  • Go for it!!!!

  • You're beautiful!!! I went natural in Feb. of 2009. I love it! My hair is longer than it ever has been with a relaxer.

  • i did the same thing I was deployed for a year and all i did was weaves and relaxers. it was such a stupid idea.

  • I would say go for the transition...... I too thought that relaxed hair was gonna be a fix to hard to manage hair.... but I wish I never did(that was soooo long ago), now I'm all natural and waist length or so...good luck!

  • Go Natural! Like me! ;*

  • I absolutely love this video! This video inspired my to do the BC and I did it and it was the best decision that I made! Thank you!

  • i did the BC on july 31!!! u can do it

  • natural is always better:D

Funny the little dfog was probably covered in wigs:D

  • You are a great person. I understand relaxing is a Joke.

  • did you shaved it off?

  • What did end up deciding? BC or transitioning?

  • I know exactly how you feel!!! do it ,go back natural, I relaxed after four years of being natural I hatemy hair relaxed it's just not the same. I felt I had to, but now I'm back natural for life!!!

  • that is how i felt the day i had an afro and stringy pieces of perm sticking up all over my head......lol....frustration led me to BC.....lol

  • Do what ever you feel is best for you lol when i was going natural i cut all my hair off and sometimes i wished I'd transitioned while others i was happy about my choice. It really depends on you.

  • Sounds like you won't be happy until all your hair is natural again

  • LOL....I have never been into the fake hair thing but I'm considering going natural too. I'm trying to figure out if I should BC or transition. I don't care about the shortness..just the easiest route. But you killed me with that box and throwing that hair behind you (lmao).

  • You are so beautiful, and the natural would look great on you.

  • omg! ur puppy is soooo cute!!!

  • go 4 it natrul hair is beautiful. you can find ways. i am transiitioning because i dont know if i can do BC. but if your up for it its good

  • Its good that you are going natural. I wish more and more black women would consider going natural and showing their true black beauty instead of covering it up with perms and weaves.

  • I will take off the last inch of permed ends and go to the barber shop next month to hook up my afro. I pray that you do what is best for you. Are you a Soldier? If so, I'm one also (retiring in six months after 22 years in).

  • OOOOOOOOO GIVE ME THAT PUPPY..LMAO.

I have three chihuauhuas (Chachi, Lady, and Joe) and I love 'em to death!

I feel you about the fake hair hanging around...LOL. I had three inches of permed hair cut off Friday with an inch remaining (4 inches new growth). I got kinky twists Friday also, but two days later, I was soooo paranoid about my edges, I took 6 out from the front and two from the back and twisted my natural hair.

    Continued blessings.....

  • What ever you do it will be cute. Dont worry. U have very beautiful eyes and face so it's gonna look good no matter what. Do more vidz !!!

  • Do whatever is going to make you happy. Just close your eyes and try to forget about everyone and their reaction. Then think about what would make you happy and do that.

  • transition as long as possible it can be done

  • I went natural in March of this year and soooo many people tried to talk me out of it. I love it! The same as you did. Now I'm about to have a 30th bday and I what some weave those same peo' are telling me wear my hair b/c I rock it well! I all about you and who you are as a person. Some of my "nay'sayers" are even thinking or have triend to do it.

  • You had to do what you had to do and you dont have to explain yourself to nobody. just do what you feel is right for you sista. Or you can also transition along the way. much love and respect and good luck on your journey girl.

  • I'm ready for the Big Chop also...i've been wanting to do this for a while now...I just put in my last perm so i'm ready for the chop...

  • i have the same issue, i keep my hair weaved up and i just wanna chop it off!!!!! i hate it! i want my hair to be big and unpermed, i dont even want a press, black women including me are so brained washed into thinkin that we all should have str8 hair! who said "nappy" was bad in the first place? THE MAN!! lol, but its true, black people are the only one's that push away what we are born with. wide noses, kinky hair, dark skin....feel me?

  • DO NOT TO THE BIG CHOP

IT'S NOT NECESSARY. Transition for as long as you can. Just make sure you getting your hair deep conditioned and getting those ends trimmed as you should. Depending on the length of your hair you may want to cut the relaxer off after a year but when people transition for 4 months and then BIG CHOP that's over kill.

  • I agree. yesterday morning I got a glimpse of my hair in the mirror at a certain angle and I couldnt take it any longer. I didnt b/c all I did was cut about 8 inches off. I now have about 6-7 inches left so Im pretty much going to let it grow out from here. a b/c for me would be too much at this point. my hair hasnt been this short since bootcamp. Im going to post another video today.

  • I transitioned for about 7 months and the only reason it took me so long to do the Big Chop is because I was insecure and afraid of what people would say, but one day I looked at this video on you tube of a natural sister who did her Big Chop early on and it was beautiful. She talked about how we should be confortable in your own skin and how you shouldn't worry about what others are going to say if you have an inch of hair on your head. At that momeny I was ready to do the BC!

  • I'm not telling you to transition or BC immediately, but just do what you are comfortable with. I couldn't deal with 2 hair textures for too long and I had to dig through my hair to get to my roots...lol. I was so liberated after I did the BC. I wish you the best in your journey if you decide to continue it :)

  • I know how you feel my hair used to be curly when I get out the shower, not that its permed its damaged and has split ends and I hate it, I would like to cut my hair off and start over but I dont think I have the face, but then again I should'nt care right? Well I think you should cut it off but dont shave your head bald thats just going to far for me!!

  • I think you should transition first and then your going to come to a point where you say what am I waiting for. Thats what I did and my only regret was that i didnt do it sooner.

    Good Luck

  • Girl just cut it!!!!!!! I had long ass hair too and i convinced myself to get a perm. My hair was down pass my shoulders. I got fed up with the breakage and everything and just went into the bathroom and cut all my hair off!!! Just do it!!! I did it and afterwards I was sad but now i am happy cause i kno that my natural hair is coming back curly and all.

  • i know how you feel

i went natural for 3 year

    i miss my natural hair

my sister talked me into getting a perm

im growing my hair out natural again

ill be getting my big chop in a couple of months

i don't think yall be crazy for cutting your hair off

getting a relaxer was tha worst choice i ever made

  • I hear that, girl! If you really feel that strongly about it, you should do it! I mean, if you feel comfortable with short hair, then you should just do the BC. I transitioned for 7 months and my hair is still only about 3 inches long on top, so even with transitioning, it'll be a bit short. But it grows! I think you'd look nice with short hair because you're pretty anyway. Btw, Sophie is adorable! I want a puppy lol :)

  • i think you should chop it off...well transition first then chop it off...but whatever works for you...you have an pretty face..and i think it will work for you..me on the other hand is nervous..but i decided to get my big chop jan. 1st...new year new me... subscribe to me and check out some of my videos...lol...

  • No pressure, just transition until you don't want to transition anymore, and when you are ready for a chop, you'll know you are ready

  • It is what it is don't stress over your decision a couple of years ago try to transition with twist out styles spraying hair with glycerin and water or leave in conditioner before bed braid then take it out in the morning when or if it gets to be too much do the big chop it'll be o.k. when it isn't come back to your youtube family and we'll set you straight or should I say curly. Good Luck!

  • Thanks hun! Yea I dont think Ill do the big chop any time soon, I would like to wait until I have at least 10 inches of N/G. Im going to put in my twists today, so yay im excited. Thanks for the advice!
