candysugar100: Sadly, I have a feeling that Brad Paisley might never do another album made of mostly instrumentals...in some interview (I think it was for CMT Insider around the time PLAY came out back in '08), I believe Paisley said he didn't plan on doing a second instrumental album. Of course, I'd love it if he did!

I'd also love it if Paisley got together with Steve Wariner and they did an album along the lines of one of the ones Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed did together!

JohnnySplattWadd: I think that 11 instrumentals on one album plus a few vocal tracks--PLAY, that is--is as close as we'll get to an all instrumental album from Paisley! Of course, I sure would like one album of his to have ONLY instrumentals!

JohnnySplattWadd: Not a problem! If anyone was to ask me, I'd highly recommend PLAY. Right now, it's my favorite album...and not just my favorite country album, but my all-time favorite album! There just doesn't seem to be enough guitarists open to playing so many genres, like Paisley is! Of course, there was Danny Gatton who played just about every genre as well, but he took his own life some time in the 90's.

FTCJProductions: I remember that issue of Guitar Player--I believe it was from March of this year...I loved that interview as well as the one Paisley did with GP in late 2007 (I think that one was in the December issue). I kind of wish GP would have a few more country pickers included though, even though they already have quite a few!

Edwardvaira: "I didn't like the idea of PLAY." Honestly, I thought that, because of the fact that PLAY was mainly instrumental, it wasn't going to do that well, sales wise. I was shocked when I found out that it premiered at #1! I really didn't think a guitar album would be that big of a hit for Paisley! And, as a guitarist, PLAY sure is my favorite album of his!
