master saleem...has had some really excellent songs with UK production. "dhol jageero da", and the work he did on harvey sahota's Punjabi X album were incredible tracks that really brought out his vocal talents (tun banjah sharab sohniye ni is a sick track and noone in india has ever even heard of it). Manak allways had the great songs with great lyrics but the musical production was weak...he rectified that by teaming up with j skillz this time around and JOGI has been a killer album.

in Bhangra, first and foremost is composition. However you cant discount any one of those three factors but the duet crowd are not putting any effort into composing atall. Their lyrics are usually childish and have to do with reallly trivial stuff that dont compare to uk classics.

i think the indian singers are still far much better than any of the UK groups. Anything that doesn't have the english touch or rap touch in it doesnt mean its not a good song. i think you need to listen to some of the songs without any english touch or rap music.

the type of music or if it has rap in it or not is irrelevant. A good song is one that showcases the artist's hard work. I dont see that with many of the duet songs. A good song is a good song if its done in a hip hop style, desi style, or a heavy rock style. I do think that the duet singers lose quality because of the rate at which they put out the albums. You cannot compare these fly by night duet singers to greats like Manak and shinda.

i agree the reason i listen to this song because of miss pooja she's a very good singer. i do understand there's a lot of crappy singers coming out by the hour and they are both out of UK and india, in UK remixing a song is not hard work and i understand from india a bad singer with a really good singer like miss pooja can get you hit ratings and it shows but there are still a lot of duet songs coming out that are pretty good.

yea...she needs to get with the big producers like shinda, mukhtar sahota etc and not be coming out with albums with no names like happy bajwa...or any aira gaira nathu khaira....agreed she has a good voice...but the error many people in india make is that a good voice=good song...good singers are dime a dozen. It takes a good lyricist, arranger, composer musicians etc to make a good song. you cannot make good songs at the rate shes recording stuff.
