As you saw below, I was in error. However, as far as "neighbourhoods you wouldn't step foot near", not so sure about that, since I could likely find a copy. However, that's neither here nor there. It does exist on VHS. I wouldn't mind seeing this or the Shazam series, not that either one will see the light of day, altho stranger things have happened. Large corporations see little value in revisiting the past, likely because there is more $ in the present.
You're part right. VHS I ordered on Amazon,my account was debited- then credited when they were too lazy to deliver it,without giving explanation why. When Wonder Woman finally came out on DVD I bought three season set at Amazon &Shazam was thrown in with the order, the show was really, really lousy. As far as money & corporations are concerned, you have to buy something to own it, but you don't have to own things to enjoy things.Ask a real estate mogul what acronym OPM means. He'll tell you.
Why doesn't Best Buy, Blockbuster video, and Amazon release this show on DVD? Screw the big money market, you have a small loyal fan base. Cut the shit and get this show out on DVD before 2027 the fiftieth anniverasary of the show.
Best Buy, Blockbuster, and Amazon don't own the rights to this show: Sony does, and they don't want to release it. If you want to see it, you've got to pester Sony Pictures first. Oh, and one other thing: Could you please try to learn about the entertainment business, and how it works, before you complain on You Tube?
Then we should google a list of all Sony Tv and movie releases, and boycott their residual sales until "The Amazing Spiderman" is released, however sony wants to release it to keep their steady profits, even if it means adding these 20 episodes as extra to a dvd showing the wild world of Toby McGuire's off screen interests and hobbies.
Good luck, because there's millions of fans of the Spider-Man comic book/movie series, and only what seems to be about sixty of you guys on YouTube asking for a DVD of the 1977 TV show. So you'd better hope that you can get over a million fans of this show who want to buy it in enough quantities for Sony to justify production of it.
Dude, I am not going to waste my time sending letters to Sony begging the CEO to release a show they should have released before people started using the internet. If they don't release the show, I'm just going to buy my electronics from their competitors.
And that will affect them how? They don't care, and neither does Marvel Studios, Joe Quesada, OR Stan Lee. Unless they see a good reason to release it on DVD, it won't be released. Sony & Marvel have millions of customers worldwide-what do they care about sixty people on YouTube and IMDB that want to see a 30-year old TV movie adaptation of Spider-Man that his creator considers to be shit? Making DVD's of a show this old is expensive-there has to be a big financial reward for the labor.
Neville6000, if this spiderman series is not released on DVD within the next decade I would spend my money getting a high by snorting Deadly Dust than fall into a spidy web of deceipt by sony and marvel comics as my credit card information is being stored and debited in the Captive Tower that handles accounts receivable for these companies
