the powerband on these 250's starts at like 15,500rpm so if you shifting at that low of an rpm your missing the fun dude, also what have you guys had out of your cbrs? mine goes off the clocks 190km/h at 16,750rpm
on a 18 or + year old bike unless it's had a rebuild or the internals altered then yeah he's not doing it any favours. I have aspergers, I don't get mad people that talk shit, you fall under that instant fuckwit category and I pay you out for being just that and move on, nuff said.
No way a CBR250RR can keep up with the Aprilia. I used to have the CBR and now have the Aprilia, believe me the difference is noticeable. The CBR is fun and the engine sound is nice but the Aprilia is just insane. The power is more so is the torque, cornering is faster and braking is better. It's not the most reliable, it's never broken on me but the servicing is alot, it's an expensive bike to run compared to others but well worth it.
what kinda camera is it and what do you have it mounted on ? it looks like a wide lens giving a greater impression of speed I like it, also the mounting is rock solid what is it ?
@BroLyPB man on mine I shift at 14,000 max. Very occasionally I get brave and wind out to 16,000, sounds like I'm hurting her she screams so loud. most of the time its 11-12,000 for me
@freedomsoldier187 Dude most of the fun starts at 11,000. You gotta wind it out, they seem to really like a good thrash from time to time. Learn to enjoy the scream of the bike in high revs, it's the best part about the bike IMO. I have a shortened straight through carbon fibre exhaust, imagine the noise at 18-19,000 RPM lol :P It's biblical...
@freedomsoldier187 it's a racing bike it's meant to be pushed hard. no point owning a race bike if your going to sit at 8rpm. long as your not redlining it all the time it's fine. When i go for a weekend blast i am always around 13-16rpm. Engine is strong and going well after nearly 50,000km. not caring for the bike will cause the most damage. e.g shitty oil/not changing it, not tuned properly and not warming it up.
@freedomsoldier187 what a zing. i expect no more from a complete idiot such as yourself. Still loling over, "I never shift at that 11-12 and occasionally 14-16".
@freedomsoldier187 I hope you know that these CBR250RRs were made to handle high revs, it even has a limiter on it to keep it from killing the engine so please do your research before you say his killing the engine.
Now i watch this video and think to myself- why in the hell is there apparently no demand for 250cc sportbikes in the U.S??? This thing is plenty fast and there is no reason to own a 600cc or 1000cc machine with that kind of outrageous power. There seems to be no middle ground in this market, it's either a commuter style 250cc (i.e. ninja 250) or an outrageously powerful 600cc or 1000cc machine. I want a cbr250rr!!! Frustrating.
@jedgq2 Nah dude I own a CBR250RR, they do use alot of fuel when you ride them in the power band above 11,000 RPM. The CBR250RR is the perfect bike for people looking to possibly get a big bike though, Its got that explosive power like the big bikes and its always good fun, but after a year or 2 you start wondering "whats the 600cc bikes like?" and from what I've heard, Its something pretty special. I definitely think everyone who likes sports bikes should try a CBR250RR though. Amazing fun.
@eamh2002 The CBR 250RR is my most reliable bike ( check out my other videos of my other bikes ), and it is also my daily comute for work. It doesn't consume engine oil at all .. My only concern is the fuel .. nothing else :)
Although it makes ~20 000rpm, it has 33mm stroke, so it is reliable. ;)

I hope you treat people better then you do bikes, change gears your killing it !
freedomsoldier187 11 months ago
@freedomsoldier187 Don't worry the engine is reliable, peak power on dyno is @ 16 500rpm so I can push it till 19 000 with no problem.
On the other way, 19 000rpm with 33mm stroke is 20.9 m/s piston linear movement if you know what I mean. ;)

freedomsoldier187 11 months ago
@freedomsoldier187 Mine dynoed 43 rwhp @ 16 500rpm .. so I can push it even higher than 16 500rpm .. ;)
On the video you can confirm that the engine doesn't lose power above 16 000rpm till 19 000rpm ..
BroLyPB 11 months ago
@BroLyPB yeah well I'm not fussed 6 more months and I'll be moving up to a Daytona 675 or GSXR 750 K4 but good fun bike and good for comuting
