@falconpunch92 Dude, both of their styles are totally different from Syu's. Not to mention that Heafy borrows a lot of stuff from his predecessors. Syu has a very unique way of combining speed, ability, and melody. He's refined it, too. Heafy is good is his own right, but it's hard to distinguish a lot of what he has to offer from any number of solid players. Secondly, even if you were right, you have to acknowledge these guitarists' abilities too. It's bad form.
Why does everyone always compare things that artists like Syu or pretty much any artist in Japan to things the Americans came out with? Why does EVERYTHING have to be "copied" or "just like" some random metal band's work. People who do this piss me off. America isn't the only creative country, jerks. Besides, the Japanese guitarists seem to have more finesse than the random metal bands people point out.
@Realmetalriffs Nope, metal very definitely started in Great Britain. That's not to say there weren't bands playing some heavy songs before that, in the blues rock genre in the UK and psychadelic movement in the US for instance but the first bands to be squarely heavy metal were undoubtedly British, got it?
@highlands True ! for example ,Judas priest,The clash,Black sabath....
but wht im saying is ,this kind of metal was develloped in US during the 80s with GnR and Metallica ......
I actullay agree with wht u said at first.and one thing..there are famous old metal bands from japan as well that played a great role in th history of Metal ...Loudness for example and Xjapan...u may not get it,right?
@Realmetalriffs Actually, I really like X Japan, not really heard much loudness.
The riff is reminiscent of Thrash bands like Anthrax and Slayer but also later bands like slipknot the solo seems more influenced by players like Yngwie Malmsteen, EVH, Gilbert, Vai, satriani, Roth, Petrucci, Warren Demartini and maybe alex skolnick, IronMaiden and al di meola but not too much GNR or Metallica.
@highlands Im sorry ,but im not talking about the solo we're having here...im generally speaking.
and as for this solo u'r right,it's pretty much like solos influenced by players u said,but always eastern guitar players give their touch to the solo,some fast tapping and sweaping,and running all diffrent types of scales all over the neck...western players ,they focus on the higher notes....and there's always exceptions . thanks for the new info u gave me.
@Realmetalriffs listening to it again there is some master of puppets style riffing. I agree, some of the Japanese guitarists I listen to, like Syu and Hide add real colour to their work. It's definitely unique in so many ways.
@highlands I took an other look and there's a Master of Puppets riffing in it,its pretty much at the beggining,with the slides up and down in the lower D string..its cool
I hated the singer from Aushvitz. Infact I hated the band as a whole but Syu is talanted and Galneryus and Animetal are great (although I can't take either seriously).
@PerfectSins Are you stupid? You don't think any of the popular "neo-classical" guitarists were inspired by deep purple? Do you even know who their guitar player is? God you are stupid. Die please now.
Aushvitz/Spinal-cord Its the same band, but they changed it, but some people dont know. The band plays 2 different genres. Visual Kei, and Melodic metal/speed
No. I disagree. Satoshi is clearly the victor in this one. Not that they were battling or anything. Syu just tremelo picked the whole thing. Satoshi on the other hand tremelo picked and sweep tapped.
