  • Morons. Absolute morons.

  • Sorry typo. This was the 2003 tornado.

  • "it's going away, it's a baby," hahahaha lol

  • I counted about 36 "Oh my God"'s from start to end.

  • At around 2:30, I counted 11 x "Oh my god" lol

  • Tornadoes are pretty cool--especially in Kansas.

  • Hey, person who posted this video- this was 2003 not 1993. Just a heads up...

  • the people talking is the best part of the vid

  • Yeah. The high-pitched one must be an SRNB. And the low-pitched and closer one is probably a DC.

  • Awesome video, but you might want to update the 'southwest Lawrence in 1993' description, because the date stamp on the video itself reads 2003. What I find most interesting about this video is that it's the first I've watched that actually captures a tornadoes signature sound without sounding like someone breathing heavily into the microphone. It's only there for a moment, but it's clearly audible from 2:10 to 2:16.

  • exactly - the sig sound is great ... have heard an F5 up close and in person once in my lifetime and do not want to hear or see another F5 ... the finger of God ...

  • Great footage of mother nature at her best. Dramatic and gave me goosebumps. Totally ballsy though. Funny how all of your predictions kept changing. I live near the wakarusa/clinton pkwy intersection and there is definately a tornado alley running right through the area. There has been several in the past few years. Thanks for risking your life for our entertainment!

  • Y'all should've been there for the 1981 "K-Mart" tornado.

  • Yeah, from what I've heard that one essentially hit without warning and by the time the sirens sounded it was all over.

  • Scary!!! I wanna go back home to Utah....

  • I remeber that storm going thru lawrence. Love the sirens!

  • What is that second siren that started half way through the video, that didnt sound like a 2001 more like a T-128?

  • Nothing like a T-128. The system heard in this video has 2001s only.

  • Awesome video.

  • Haha! I love how you can hear all the women freaking out and coming up with like the worst-case-senario.
