  • Please help me. I've downloaded the demo version of this to see if I'd like it and I can't quite seem to be able to import a video on this. I can go threw the files and browse the folders but the videos never show up on the right of the window window so I can not preview the movie or open it up with The Pixel Farm. I've tried .mov and .mov and .wmv files. Please help me. Thank you!

  • where did you mask your guy in pfhoe or another app

  • @yayarea82 You will need to import a matte into PFhoe, import as a greys-scale QuickTime or AVI movie and PFhoe Pro can also load mates that are image sequences. The 'matte sequence' should be the same resolution and frame-length as your original footage. There is information on creating a matte here

  • no matter what video i use there is always an error at 'solve for camera motion'. It says 'failed to solve frame 'x''. Help!

  • @CDFfilms Please use the PFhoe Forum for support pfhoe.com/forum/. Solves can fail for a number of reasons, there might not be enough continuous trackers (features that are visible long for long enough to compute the solve), your video sequence might be too long. Without seeing the footage is difficult to know. You can upload footage to the forum for us to see.

  • Hi, I have purchased PFhoe 2.2. But I have a problem, when i have done all the tracking and focal lenght and stuff the "export undisorted footage" button and the "export camera and feature data" button is both unavailable.

I don't understand the distortion part when you should select a line, so could that be the problem that i have not done it correctly? Or could it be a bug? Or am i still in the trial version when you can't export? (Note that i have purchased Pfhoe and activated it)

  • @Madridista970 Please use the PFhoe Forum for support pfhoe.com/forum/. Please try reinstalling PFhoe, the only reason why the export buttons will not be available is because the software is not licensed so there must be a problem there.. Regarding calculating the distortion, there is an explanation in the PFhoe guide see page 7. This is also covered in the tutorials or we can help through the forum.

  • One person dislikes three dimensions.

  • Someone help, im tracking footage with the regular PFHoe and im trying to solve for camera motion but it keeps telling me it cant solve frame 248.

My footage is HD from the 7D, and its just a dude standing there looking at the camera, compared to this tutorial, my footage should have no problem tracking. What is going on, how can i fix this?

  • @captainkoooolaid Can you post a sample of the footage in the PFhoe forum? Have you deleted the bad tracking points? - points that are marked red and also points with bad parallax and jumping points

  • I've never understood one thing of every tracking softwares : you've to pick every RED pointer cause it's useless and delete them, well if the red ones are useless why the hell they're there ? I mean that the software is aware that they have to be deleted and it paint them RED,so why it doesn't just remove them by itself?

  • this is awesome. mind you, you have named your PF software hoe...

  • PFhoe

put my problem i cant use "MP4" format :(

i have to make it "mov"

    and take for aver :(

    i hope support MP4 format

  • @hotamr Try using PNG-sequences.

They load quicker and have lossless compression.

  • Hello Arnold,

I am sorry that you are having difficulties purchasing PFHoe.

We use WorldPay to process card payments, this is powered by the Royal Bank of Scotland. We do not see your card details or have any information about the payment, we simply have the payment approved or declined by WorldPay. I have never heard of a pin number being requested before? Can you send us a screen grab so that we can investigate this?

I'm not sure why you are posting re. payments here?

  • excellent tutorial ;-D thank you for taking the time out to educate us at no cost. and please don't listen to those kids nagging about poor sound quality and food. they're young :-P they'll live to pay ;-) haha.

  • amazing...i'll give it a try. thank you for uploading&teaching!
