  • impressive recovery

  • excellent video, goes to show that spins can not only be fun but a good learning experience. I couldnt tell really from the video but is the tail # by chance 138AC? if so i have flown and love that airplane.

  • Yes, this was N138AC, and it is a great bird. I had the owner in the back seat with the camera.

  • and his name is "safe aviator"

  • Yeah, mate it is - and he IS safe. Spins done with the correct technique & proper training, safely from altitude, are an excellent training tool that ALL pilots should undergo. How many pilots have died after not knowing how to recover a spinning plane or used the wrong technique? Far too many, I'm afraid

  • Many pilots have died because they do not recognize they are about to stall the airplane. Usually on a base to final turn.its amazing people can have such a poor feel" for the aircraft. By safely training in these maneuvers you become a better pilot by learning to recognize them immediately and avoid them. Performed correctly there is nothing unsafe about these maneuvers. Anyone thats says these are unsafe is simply ignorent about aviation

  • Nice...What altitude did you start?

  • We started at 8000 feet MSL and ended up at 3500 feet by the time we leveled off.

  • that was a pretty intense spin! but i suspect it was the intention to sustain it for so long?

  • i count 4.5 turns...

  • This video shows about five turns, not ten. Double counting is a common mistake. Thanks for the video.

  • now that's flying,,none of that staight and level crap
