Just out of curiosity, What kind of gas mileage do you get with the 35's? I have an 01 5.9l and i get 10 mpg with the standard street tires. i'm looking to get those exact tires, but dont know if i could afford the gas.
@hermanmatthew23 The way it is set up with the 4.56 gears I get around 14-15mpg on the highway (all flat ground, we have no hills). If you figure in town driving also then it drops down quite a bit more of course.

@mauiman707 Is it your first motorcycle and have you had any previous riding experience? If not I would suggest getting a good used bike first to learn on (cruiser or sport bike) depending on your personal preference, then get use to how to ride and put on some miles then when you feel comfortable go out and buy your dream bike! I started riding dirt bikes when I was younger and that helps tremendously when riding street bikes, after that I rode a smaller sport bike then moved up to the R1.

@ghettosmirnoff The GSX-R750 is the best of both worlds you get almost the power of a 1000 and the handling of a 600 plus the gas mileage of the 600 as well, my friend had one and overall it was a very nice bike... Till he crashed!
@992bm It performs good, if I was going to do it again I think I would put a Detroit Locker in the rear and put the True Trac up front. I didn't realize at the time that the Detroit locker would open up to let you drive around corners, although it will make some noise when doing so from what i've read.

2500 series come stock sitting about 2 inches higher than 1500's plus add in smaller tires means a bigger gap between the top of his tires and the fender. I do have a 5" lift on my truck though and they are 35" tires.
Say that I want to smoke the tires occasionally, but I also want to go wheelin and not get stuck. Which way should I go, cause I know a tru trac can smoke em, but can a locker do the same thing? Help.. Thanks. Nice ride btw!!!
They r great as long as you keep the tires on the ground and not in the air. If I did it again id put a Detroit Locker in the back and a Tru Trac up front.
Hey how many miles you think your gonna get out of those pro comps. I'm about to buy a set for my ranger and its a toss between bfg km2 those mt pro comps or an ltb interco. The only reason the interco is in the running is I do wheel a whole lot the tread depth is great and it really is a true 35. please lemme know thanks.

r u sure you should be able to maybe try a selectable locker like ARB air locker or Eaton Electronic locker. This way you can leave it unlocked for on the highway and then flip a switch and lock it for off roading...

what kind of tires are they? they look like Pro Comps. i got pro comps on mine, but i think im goin to put some super swampers tsl's on there after christmas. how did you get the front end to lock up?? did you put a posi up there??

They r Pro Comp Mud terrains. Up front is a Detroit TrueTrac Limited slip differential. Which works awesome by they way.

i was told i cant put a locker in the front because of the axle disconnect. ???

r u sure you should be able to maybe try a selectable locker like ARB air locker or Eaton Electronic locker. This way you can leave it unlocked for on the highway and then flip a switch and lock it for off roading...

no I know that but how did you use a true trac in the front? isn't that a limited slip? doesn't that screw up the front end in 2wd?
