Not after making it like this but if you had a power supply that put out 5v and 12V and you had the right data interface. Actually the usb interface board of an external HD would work as long as it runs on 12 volts then you can use a 12V car adaptor to run it you just need to adapt the cord that came with the HDD to the 12V cord. then you need a USB A cable and a car stereo that can read MP3s on a USB stick
Hhaha all along i though i had a speaker in my cpu because often when i had dial up some one would call my house almost at the same time i was signing on..lol...cool now i need a video that kinda shows where to connect them too cause i see alot of them just showing them work but none actually doing any of the connecting...
actually your dial up modem does have a small speaker in it that generated the sound you hear it sounds like a telephone dialing then some data sounds then your online
well my momc ps was a packard bell its was one from the mid 90s not really good for anything nowadays,m except a hard drive speaker maybe use some of the other parts for stuff
Yeah I know when I shot this vid i pretty much just rigged it if i can get another drive i may do this and then maybe rig a spring to the arm so it holds it centered
damusician that would be a great idea id love to see your collection, id show mine but in all my videos not one of them has my voice in it and im not sure about talking in my videos and putting them on the internet but i have tons of stuff
Yeah I know it sits in my room alot and i live in a 1950s california ranch type house its really dusty here I sneeze alot, every now and then i tinker with it, im a tinkerer, check out my other videos (more from this user) yeah kramer you like the dusty hard drive look for my dusty RC car burnout video
but you need to solder wires to these 2 end connectors, heres a way to find the right ones, take your speaker wires from your stereo and play some music on it turn up the volume and then touch the wires to the connectors and listen when you hear what sounds like music then youve found the right ones,
you need to hook wires on to the part that goes to the electromagnet in the read write arm, flip your drive over and remove the circuit board and look for a set of contacts the connectors you need to hook to are the 2 end ones, more on next post
thanks for the info you have been a big help thanks again
