i personally think that the moving sides on the escalators are more of a hazard then they do good...i get that they have them moving so people can put their hands there and stuff but many times when i was little i would put my hand on that thing to get myself ready to get on "the scary moving stairs" (i didnt like them) and almost face planted the stairs cuz the sides were moving

This is one of the reasons I don't regret not having kids!!!! Where the hell were the parents? All kids of that age should be on a proper harness, similar to a dog's lead, but not round their neck obviously, lol. until they are old enough to walk about on their own!
