What about other stem cells? I love the visual; soccer ball was brilliant - but that only explains embryonic (and even at that stage there has been some differentiation). All tissues have stem cells (adult) as do extra-embryonic membranes (berashis). Many are pluripotent ('embryonic') - they can even make them from skin now. Embryonic aren't safe for people, but other stem cells are actually treating diabetes, MS, paralysis - just about everything embryonic 'promises'.

Adult stem cells aren't like embryo stem cells, they're limited to their unique organ. Granted embryo cells don't have practical applications yet, DNA matching problems, but that's what the research is for.
