(Top trigger channel filed off at the end, extra channel on the selector cam, smaller well in the bottom of the bolt carrier, firing pin collar exposed, J hook hammer, to be caught by the Auto sear, disconnect has a tail that sticks out the end of the open trigger channel, so it cam be pressed down by the selector cam)

I noticed that when she showed the fire selector, she put it to safe, but then she put it back on semi. Is that a mistake or does it need to be in semi to "take down"?
@x5killah selector can be in either position; the only thing is to make sure the bolt carrier assembly is in the forward position before disassembly (and unloaded, of course).
@x5killah Some models do actually, especially the smaller brand names. My own "truck gun" (the AR15 I keep in the back of my truck) is made by DPMS and requires it to be in semi mode in order to take down.
Its sad, Bushmaster fire arms was located here in my home town. I know the guy that made it so successful too. Then he sold it about 15 years ago. The new owners sold it to Remington. Remington took their machines & shut it down.

It seems everyone makes them now. I ended up getting a Rock River Arms Entry Operator LAR-15. It came with the A2 carry handle, flip up fronts, free float half quad rail, and adjustable stock. Price: $965. There is one gun shop by me that has decent prices. All the other shops wanted $1200+.

Let's see her get the front sight taper pins out. What a PITA!!! I sent my barrel and attached A2 sight, with the Delta ring dangling back to Bushmaster.
I told them for a thousand bucks, I want a rifle that is fully serviceable for upgrades. We'll see how they come through, as I'm about to call them. :)
