this was a great show. So was "Movin on"today's show's are Sooooo full of it. PUMP AND DUMP. These shows from the 70's were really good. Emergency-adam 12. C'mon. they were the best!
i remember i was a kid when these new shows were gonna premier, and at the time, i was beginning to know what a tv show starting and going off the air was all about. i was very excited about Chopper One" and Firehouse" and i think at the same time "the Cowboys" From the John Wayne movie was also starting
Thanks you for posting this! This and Firehouse were my favorite shows on Thursday nights. Let's all hope one day the both of these shows are shown again, either on dvd or on the net.
I've been looking for something on Chopper 1 for 30 years. nobody I know heard of the show I was beginning to think it didn't exist. Many wonderful thanks for the post.
Well then like me, you must have went right out and bought a Vertibird back then. The little helicopter you flew in circles and picked up things with the hook.
5:31pm Texas time 8-17-F-07 I Love This CHOPPER ONE - "Pilot" end scene that was cool i remember Chooper One in the Year 1976 on TV i Loved that Show ! take care ! :) :)
Both "Chopper One" and "Firehouse" never stood a chance against CBS' ratings powehouse drama "The Waltons" .

Was Aaron Spelling behind this series? It seemed just about every other program on ABC at this point was his creation.

This scene was inspired from a first season episode of Whirlybirds. It was a lot better with a Bell47-G then a Jet Ranger.

I can see why it didn't last. Chases like these? yawn. I would have taken off as well and rammed them.
