  • They Smashed it

  • Man back in the 90's music was amazing. I remember when one sec id be watching Allen Jackson on CMT and the next id be watching De La Soul on BET followed by some Whitney Houston and Alice N Chains on MTV. Music has gone to shit and to be honest with you i dont like new music at all. To me music from the 50's through the 90's is where its at

  • I love scratchin licks on this track.ahhhhhhhhhh memories...

  • Awesome. Classic hip hop. Hail Das EFX.

  • Yeh DJandMCs Classic FOotage here I remember being there

  • bingo

  • met those guys back in 2007, coolest dudes ever

  • I listen to Rock/Metal most of the time, but i watched that show sometimes back in the days, and you now why? Because back then, they had some real music shows on MTV!

  • Real hip-hop.

  • I riggity-realize that I liggity-love you

  • UHHH!!!!!!!!! YEAAHH!!!!!!!

  • Boots bomber beanie?! oh,fuck yeah!

  • yeah yeah enter real hip hop it was about reperesentin kickin fat rhymes and beats

way back then hip hop was a movement it was a rebellion i miss that attitude that dont give a f... attitude

  • Yo cat's I'am 41 and this how we use to get down back in the day! Brothers had different rhyme styles and Flavas, this is what i miss about in music!!! These cats are smart don't sleep on them, they went to Va State University in Va were I'am from, There is a misconception that rap cat's are just thugs, but are future, doctors, lawyers, business owners etc..... CHECK ME OUT ON FB JAMES GARLAND JR Vs

  • @minhasc Well Said My Friend.

I'm tired of people talking about mainstream artist, mainstream is a pice of shit.

  • crazy what happend to hip hop peoples saying now drake or lil waynes the beste rapper ever fucking bullshit.such a shame what happend with the american hip hop

  • @MRVISDOME If anybody even dares to mention pricks like drake, lil wayne, 50 cent, kayne west, eminem or any of those dicks, i immediately shut them down there and then. I don't allow ppl to talk shit around me, i consider it an insult to hip hop.

  • @minhasc

yeah youre right but Eminem was really dope with Slim Shady LP and Marshall Mathers LP same with Jay-z he was dope with Reasonable Doubt but then he turned shitty

  • @xXShichaXx Yep, but Pharoah Monch, Ras Kass, A.Z., Reks, Pun, Big L, Prince Po and many other MCs had iller skills and better first albums than Em ever did, but didn't get noticed BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T WHITE - i.e. they didn't give the record labels the avenue to exploit white, middle-america like Em did..that's why I say FUCK EMINEM, plain n simple.

  • @minhasc

Yeah thats right but Dre made really good promotion for Em and no one did promotion for Big Ls or Nas debut.

But youre right everybody was like :"Oh the first dope white rapper" but there was many dope white rappers before like MC Serch, House of Pain, RA...

  • @xXShichaXx Agreed, Dre's faggot ass basically dictated what was "cool" and what wasn't. On a purely production level, Big L, Nas, Ras Kass, Pun, A.Z., Reks etc did have better producers with a much wider range, but didn't make waves because they were true producers as opposed to cogs in the hype machine like Dre, Swizz or Timbaland. I think Em was more successful than other white rappers because whilst they rapped at a time when pac was around, Em came into it in the void left by pac's passing

  • i had my headphones strapped rockin rewind pause, trying to figure out what the hell these dudes were saying....i would write out their songs and memorize em....still know the whole dead serious album.

  • They want efx , some live efx

  • wish i was friends with dave chappelle in the 90s lovin das efx!

  • SO HYPE!

  • i saw them open up for Moe. back in... 200 mayb.. weird

  • yo face237, u missed the most of rap's golden era. i loved watching yo! mtv raps. now look where hip-hop has gone... it's a shame.

  • @OffTheHizzle Couldn't agree more. I'd do anything to be able to live through the 1990s as an adult. I was a newborn when this was filmed.

  • das efx is ill

  • damn i was only 2 years old when this aired

  • @face237

Damn i was 8. My cuz stayed playin this shyt.

My sis always figured out the lyrics

  • First time I heard They Want EFX I was in church with my mom and a Puerto Rican cat from my hood rolled by with the bass going so hard I had to turn around LMFAO My mom gave me the lazor eyes to turn around but I still saw & heard the lowrider Corrolla w/15's in the trunk!! lol

  • @bigghost27 haha thats some real shit lol...i wish those days would come back when real shit was comin out the trunk of cars...

  • YESS!!!! I wanted efx and thats what i got. Never heard these dudes live before. It seems like they slow down their flows for the live performances. Maybe its just me...i dunno.

But its still dope as hell!

  • @niceace I think so to but its still damn impressive
