Im not sure about this version, but the song is about a girl named Alice who gets cursed so that if she ever sees someone's face, they'll die. She goes a long time in isolation and starts to think that her reflection in he water is another person. Then a guy who hears her crying comes along and tries to help her, but she gets scared and tries to drown herself. But in the end, you still don't know if she died, or she became blind and was able to live with the boy.

HRE is in a dreamland- kindof. he 'followed' the 'white rabbit'(chibitalia) in to this wierd place and became 'ecila'(alcice in wonderland, much?) every time he looks at his reflection, it looks sad, and prussia and austria are the 'mad hatter' and 'march hare' who show him the way. then, as you mentioned, he drowns himself, and gets 'reborn' as germay.

basically, HRE goes insane and drowns himself. then washes up on a shoreline with amnesia. and becomes germany.

@deadsoulxX13 The HRE was a confederation of german / italian kingdoms and principalities. Ruled by exclusively german Kaiser. With one expetion. There was i think one ruler with mixt german / italian background. If your history teacher wanted to say, that it was not germany he was right, otherwise he was dumb ^^ German history through the centuries is a bit complex, but you can say it was german.

I do not like this gay anime stuff, but when it brings people to learn a bit history it is ok.
