Isnt the tool kit under your right hand side cover? Are you saying you were able to remove your tools from this area and fit the fm tuner inside the tool slot. Im asking cause I have a 2007 and am looking to purchase this kit to install but before I did I was deciding which kit I could actually fit on my bike without cutting anything...

I secured the remote with velcro and for the amout of wire??? I have my amp under my seat in the tool box and had plenty left over.
