At first, I didn't like this series. I enjoy Jeff Matsudas art style, but I can't help but get that "Jackie Chan Adventure"campy feel. (I like JCA, don't get me wrong). Even had a 60's style theme song at the end.

The 90's were a lot darker. From Batman to Cyber Six.

I still enjoy this series. Very fun.

I agree with other Batman fans that his smile should never be seen, with the exception of when he's Bruce Wayne and under the influence of Joker Gas. And if he were to smile, it should be awkward and creepy like on the JLU series (which was amazing btw). However this Batman's smile totally makes him even sexier (if that's even possible). He totally owns it. Plus it's only a 1/2 smile most of the time so no harm done.

I respect what they tried to do with The Batman, a different kind of take on villains, the style, the atmosphere. Kinda like what they are doing with the movies but not directly. Batman having a relationship with a cop to work with. But this scene proves that it would just not be as good as what they did with the DCAU. Why would they use Clancy Brown and Tim Daly? Unless they knew, they just had to go to what was best.

This series sucked from the beginning. The "new" take on characters was I guess to be admired, but then you see the Joker, no, screwed that up. And the writers admit as much as they go to the stuff Batman TAS had. Even using the voices from Superman TAS. This show came from the new movies but it would have been better if they just dedicated the time and money to more Batman TAS or Justice League Episodes.

Laser guns in a Batman cartoon? Bah! In the series it was believable because Metropolis is the City of Tomorrow , almost always having a more modern look than Gotham so where Metropolis would have laser based guns, Gotham would have regular old bullets. Laser guns in Batman to me just doesn't fit.
