All the Albertson's here in NorCal are now Lucky again. SaveMart bought the Albertson's stores in NorCal, and renamed Albertson's Lucky and Food4Less to FoodMaxx.
Well Here all Bay Area Albertsons became Lucky again. I remember this in the Bay Area Except the Competitors in the San Francisco Bay Area was Safeway and Pak n'' Save. This Had to be the LA Edition of Lucky's
These type of ads, price fights if you will, no longer for two reasons, consolidation (Kroger, Safeway, and Albertsons practically run the west now) and the strike of 03-04 when workers united against the companies.
As a result of consolidation they all have high prices now, except for Stater Brothers. Ralph's is probably the worst of them, followed by Von's and Albertson's.
Lucky's return is good, though i wished they still hadf all the bay area stores closed, albertosns was 5 minutes from where i lived, now, its a discount store ran by ross.
and who better than Stephanie Edwards to do these ads. For many years, she co-hosted KTLA's coverage of the Rose Parade here in Southern California. BTW, Lucky and Vons were pretty damn expensive, contrary to popular belief. Alpha-Beta, Ralphs, The Boys, and Food4Less were/are the ways to go.
My albertsons in my area used to be a lucky when I was a kid
Lucky sounds better
Like albertsons
Who the hell is Albert lol
I hope here in southern California we get lucky stores again
I still see a lucky truck n some private property area every time I come to visit my grandparents
Brings memories

hi
there was a lucky commercial where they had this guy named mr fazio(mr fazio refuses to be undersold was a tune on the commercial)
loveisok 3 years ago
loveisok,
I've been wanting to find that old jingle myself.
I remember it from the 70's in Ohio.
I'm not going to sing it, but here's an idea of how it went.
"Mr. Fazio refuses to be.....Undersold!"
I'm hoping people recognize it from the pause I put in before the word "Undersold"
And I hope someone will post the song one day, if they have it.

Are you kidding? You can't buy a bottle of Apple Juice for less than 4 bucks at Stater Brothers. Hopefully though we'll get a Walmart Supercenter.
