  • You mentioned that sauerkraut was used as a source of vitamin C on sea travel because fermentation preserves the cabbage and its nutrients. But then you advise to keep the sauerkraut in the fridge for just up to 5 days. What's missing from this sauerkraut to be a true preserve? The salt?

  • Yes, the salt. When adding salt, it inhibits unfriendly bacteria growth. So using no salt, and the ferment may not "last" as long. So it should be used sooner rather than later. Each method, either salt or no salt has its specific benefits. Ann Wigmore promotes a salt-free sauerkraut because its healthier. They dont make it for the "long term storage" aspect. If you are, you may want to add salt.

  • It's been said not to MiX Fruits and Vegetables when Juicing for Digestion reasons. Is it ok to Mix Oranges and Carrots? Because Fresh Carrot Juice does not Taste GooD. or maybe I'LL just add some APPLes next time. I've seen you Juice oranges and carrots on another Video. What's your take on The OranGe CaRRoT Combo?

  • Im not a fan of mixing fruits and veggies in juices. That being said,some people make requests that I juice certain things.. I personally will mix apples or pears with my vegetable juicers, and usually nothing else. If I make citrus juice, I only use citrus fruits, but no other types. I tend to keep my juice recipes to under 4-5 ingredients max. Find some Bunny Luv ORGANIC carrots, they are the sweetest and DO taste good to me.. Some carrots... taste like dirt..

  • I havent tried it, but chances are it WILL work. How? Juice the cabbage. Then mix the juice in with the pulp and put it in a jar with some leaves ontop..
