I live near here, and tried kayaking that once. VERY SCARY. The currents near the falls are unreal. There were huge heavy waves that wanted to pull the entire kayak into the whirlpool.
Nice video. Did you know that at the nearby Canemah Pioneer Cemetery there are a number of graves of ship captains and crew? It says "went over the falls" on their tombstones!
