Also, everybody says Michael Arden's emotions are better when performing this song, but I think they both have different takes on it. Aaron performs it as more of an urgent "LET'S GO!" song, and michael is more pleading. I love them both <3

Aaron Tveit couldn't really get into this because I think he's too confident. He doesn't seem able to really lose his confidence when getting into the character, and I'm not surprised, I mean, he has no reason to be insecure. Look at him.

@Darkort Interesting point. I always just look at it as a different interpretation. I think it's a less nervous interp, and more a "I need you to come with me and this is why" view. I think it's about a hidden desperation. So strong a longing that the nerves don't matter. But, this song means something different to everyone and I love hearing different interpretations :)

Darren Criss has ZERO formal musical training... he has no vibrato, none... people need to stop thinking "Ashley Tisday in Sharpay's Big Adventure" represents what broadway is... This mentality of accepting autotune is dumbing down and destroying broadway.

@kennyalancramer Darren may not have as good of a voice as Aaron, but he sings with just as much emotional integrity. Not to mention, he went to school for musical theater, at UM no less. So he is trained. You have to admit, he is extremely talented - why would Glee hire him otherwise? He's a songwriter on top of everything else, and plays a number of instruments. I DO agree with the autotune thing - it is blinding what true Broadway is. I believe Darren sounds better live than with autotune.
