1:55 he didnt capture anything, why are they suposed to be good moves? i dont understand go :( all i know is the + capture thingy

The goal is not to capture anything. It is to control as much space on the board as possible. His moves were good because they caught his opponents off guard (many go players are traditionalists) and yielded considerable influence on the board for him.
