  • my two favorite rappers. wow i didnt even know they were into each other's music. this is fucking amazing

  • the beef between nas and jada? didnt quite get that

  • say what ya want about joey crillz but he put pun on i can't agree with some on the shit he did but thats life

  • a tribute by krs is the ultimate sign of respect and homage.

  • Y'all that are questioning how come KRS did a tribute to Nas instead of the other way around...

I say it's cause Nas took on the whole of HipHop and declared it's dead

While every1 was beefing wit Nas on that, KRS did these bars to show that NaS actually resurrected HIpHop by saying it's dead

Nas trascended the MC battle and was battling 4 HipHop & that put him on a whole other level

  • super quality props.

  • ive heard ras kass and he's one of the best west coast emcess but he's not better than rakim

  • Naa sorry... why is KRS doing a tribute to Nas? Thats upside down it should be the other way first.

  • @vanillabeanzz I think it's a way to thank him for his mention of doing an "Unauthorized Biography" on KRS after he mentioned the idea at the end of the "Unauthorized Biography of Rakim" track on"Street's Discipline"

  • @vanillabeanzz i would normally disagree with you in a certain spect, but lets just get excited for that auto biography of krs 1, december 3 ,lost tapes 2.

  • @leonmccollum1994 lost tapes 2? serious man? Lost tapes was amazing.

  • Respect

  • Not trying start beef but can someone give me some west coast that are on par with Nas, Krs, Rakim, or Big L

  • @DANCINMONKEYable old school ras-kas. he can stand with nas and krs-one. and he would honestly eat up big l and rakim (yes i said rakim. don't believe me, listen to on earth as it is).

  • @YOFACE22 ras kass was so deep too, nature of the threat and interview with a vampire and the whole soul on ice album, id say hes on the same level as rakim and nas not better. Ras is seriously underated.

  • if krs should tribute anyone it should be nas

  • wats he talkin bout when he say the stuff between him and jada they gotta chill?

  • Yooo this is ill. It's funny because Nas wanted to make another unauthorized bio for KRS, but it seems like KRS paid tribute to Nas before Nas could pay tribute to him.

  • this is wat hiphop is about!!!!

  • krs-oNE IS REAL HIP HOP! i wont lie. i didnt side on NAS beefing wit 2Pac (or sided on JayZ, Biggie, MobbDeep, JuniorMafia Vs 2Pac) but at the same time i liked his lyrics. Shout Out 2 Hip Hop!

  • "We about to resurrect the reel to reel for real"

    Bannanas!

  • but why did krs shout out nas? shouldnt it be the other way around?

  • Nas was supposed to release a song similar to U.B.R about Kris but it never came to fruition.

  • Nas is the golden child.

  • @pdl004 Uh why say that. Nas is one of the greatest writers of our time.

  • DOPE

  • this is true HIP HOP as i learned to luv it!

  • damn this has a hot beat

  • KRS is hands down the guardian of hip hop he's on a whole other level. The fact he shouted out another legend and put that peace between emc's is so tight.

  • wow man this is fucking cool

    a pioneer tribute to nas.

    respect.

  • Best Part:

    Hip Hop is Dead,

I know what you mean. :'(

  • hip hop is life.

  • The only way Fat Joe could make the Bronx lean back is if he sat on it!

Hes a fuckin sell-out aha, props to Nas and KRS though, the true kings of Hip-Hop...

  • @1licketysplit1 LMFAOOO

  • @1licketysplit1 lolll classic

  • @1licketysplit1 what if joe was dumb enough to battle nas?! lol

  • @1licketysplit1

Fat Joe did good work in the Diggin' in the Crates crew... Before Jay Z made it he spat with Big L. IMO they just don't have the consistency of KRS-One.

  • "Hip Hop Lives"... KRS 1 is still reppin for the cause along with Nas, Common, AZ, Cormega, etc. You know you a legend when the great KRS 1 spits rhymes of admiration towards you. Nas and KRS both equal THE TOP 10!!!!!!

  • Naw son, he made the joint b/cuz he couldn't make it 2 the HipHop Is Dead release party

  • I love how true emcees show love for one another.

  • can't nobody fuck wit Kris!!!!!!!!!!

  • YOUTUBE KEYWORD: TEMPLE OF HIP HOP

  • i thought krs hated marley marl? did they make friends or something?

  • ...yeah, they did. Kissed made up and put out a good album. You may want to check it out.

  • KRS One / Marley Marl - Hip Hop Lives, check it out, the album is great

  • is this a leftover from Hip Hop Lives?

  • just add rakim

  • I know right...... Rakim would crush this track too. These are the closest dudes to fuckin wit Rakim. But my Father is god, nobody is fuckin wit him. RAKIM IS #1

  • To be honest anybody hatin on Nas never really listened to his music...or you are a short attention span dumb fucka who has to be spoon fed everything around you. I tell you all you need is talk n dress and people will think you the best. 2009 its just sad to see so many niggas doing it like the bitches did and still do.

  • Word up.

  • word...

  • Word yoo ..i'm tired of people like Lil Wayne or just any of these wack rappers. all they do is talk and talk. nas is the best PERIOD !

  • nas deserves this,he's spoke for us from day 1.

  • Dope.

  • there u go the teacher payin respect to

    prince nas.

  • I heard that KRS could be on Nas' next album with damien marley... Does anyone know if this is true? That would be sooo sick!

  • that would be dope. KRS-ONE AND NAS KEEPIN IT REAL

  • amazing track. KRS and NaS, two of the best ever.

  • "that shit with Jada, y'all got too chill?"

    Nas and Jada beef?!?

  • Nas vs Jay-Z beef ofc.

  • K-R-S N-A-S NORTH SOUTH EAST WEST

  • wat movie did marley marl sample.

its from some disney movie sample when the chourus is going on?

ya both nas and krs the best

  • KRS, the king of Hip Hop, and with this song Nas as the Prince.

    Real hip Hop shall return!

  • So powerfull, spread the word hip hop still lives in thoughs who belive.

This song is for real man.

  • im feelin yall in all speculations but look i understand what yall sayin wit wayne and soulja boi but listen to this..look at juelz for ex: when he came on he wasnt as ill as he is now on these albums and mixtapes. HipHop is a family. make soulja and wayne better if yall feel they that bad we a family hip-hop is a family and no one can see that..you see marley marl and krs do it.Cormega and nas. SHIIT jay and nas..

man this is our shit man and thats all i gotta say go comment bak if ya want

  • it's hard to make them better when so many ppl, who don't know shit about hiphop, buy their shit..

  • yea but they dont do it for the music, they do it for the money..and they cant rap so cut it out

  • real hip hop son krs-one is one of the illest rappers in the game

  • Time to bring back the real hip-hop. Fuck Lil Wayne, fuck Soulja Boy. Shut Em Down, Fight The Power & Stop The Violence.

  • WORD UP

  • dope shit here nice

  • i dunno how it was Jay-Z's era when DMX and Nas are better in my opinion and where was KRS on your list there buddy

  • KRs1... step into his world

  • DAMN, NEWYORK RAP HAS FELL OFF THRU THE YEARS

    early 1980's - RUN-DMC era

    late 1980's - RAKIM era

early 1990's - WUTANG CLAN era

    late 1990's - JAY-Z era

    early 2000's - 50CENT, G-UNIT era

    late 2000's - NOBODY'S era

what the hell happened to NEWYORK rappers?, the NY fans stopped supporting them, thats what happened :( :( :( thats why NAS cant even go GOLD, but LIL WAYNE & SOULJA BOY goes PLATINUM easy :(

  • Exactly. Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy are the epitome of garbage rap. Jay-Z even gets more recognition than Nas. I bet that the majority of people that prefer Jigga over Nasty Nas don't even know about the beef that they had. They probably have no idea as to what Illmatic is. It's just messed up.

  • new york didnt fall off hip hop fans now just dont understand the true meaning of hip hop but i understand what your saying man

  • im sorry but i think late 2000's belongs to wyze geye...look him up

  • Nas can't go gold what are you talking about...you need to check your facts again!

  • d5tone2,

Hip Hop and Rap aren't about record sales, but to get a message out. Unlike most rappers who only talk about ho's and money.

  • its more than just a message but your right, (Direct quote from KRS-1) "EMCEES IS JUST HOPELESS, THINKIN RECORD SALES MAKE THEM THE DOPEST". Record sales just prove what people know and think about music, and honestly anyone sayin "Nas can't go gold" doesnt know what real hiphop is.

  • Nas went platinum up until HipHop Is Dead. What r u talkin about?

  • HHID and Nigger will both be platinum eventually though.

  • The 1990s were not the Jay Z era, there has never been such an era, A Jay Z error though is ever present.

  • @Emperialking I don't really agree. Right now i'd say F*CK JAY-Z, but back in the 90s when Reasonable Doubt came out it was fire. No doubt illmatic best album ever made, but Reasonable comes close.

  • @Emperialking 90's was biggie and pac era

  • I'm telling you, 2009 rebirth of hip hop! Word up

  • from your mouth to gods ears

  • sik tune.

  • U already know Nas is better then Jay z

  • I never understood why everyone says jay-z is so great anyway.

Nas beats him on his worst day.

  • well... Nas is the best

  • after Krs^^

  • JamPakked = YOU ARE CORRECT!

  • this is real shit condradulating another artist for there skills.

  • Real recognise real

  • "hip hop was aborted so nas breathes life back into the embryo!"

  • wow....that beat is off the hook. and everything the teacher is saying is true. I would like to hear a krs and nas collabo with either marly on the beat or premier.

  • WITH PREMIER!

  • nas and krs are together with rakim and kanye west on "Classic (Better than I've ever been) produced by DJ Premier-thats a pretty good song. its great that legends can acknowledge each other as legends like this

  • There cant be one best MC ever becuz all of them r diffrent

Some might be lyrical as hel and others might say a lot of things that you can relate to so much

  • YO for KRS-One to make a tribute to nas...is big...that shows how much NAs has done for hip hop

  • I Cant choose whos betta Nas or KRs

  • Nas is undoubtably king of hip hop TODAY!! And KRS-One will still stand as an all time hip hop LEGEND!!!!

  • Just listen to Nas's "U.B.R. (Unauthorized Biography of Rakim)"

  • KRS is such a dope MC, his charisma on the mic is untouched.

  • Nas > Biggie

because biggie rapped about money and bitches mostly. he was great, but nas was just as ill, just as good at story telling, and was deeper.
