Group of German leftist militants (Antifa) came to Polish to disrupt the celebration, to initiate a riot. They beat reconstructive group, the police caught about 100 Germans.As police says, they had dangerously tools - batons, brass knuckles and tear gas.

Riots are now common in Europe. Poland is catching up.

@polcham Incidents were provoked by a polish communists and fencing them police agents (a lot of them in casual clothes) blocking legal, registered route of the manifestation. They faced mostly polish football funs. Most (more then 20,000) young, old participants (among them whole families with small children) left the place without any fights (on a new route).

In your recent article, you claim it was Right Wing demonstrators who attacked the Warsaw police. This is incorrect. The first stones were thrown by German Antifa activists. Once the violence began, others joined in, but is was most certainly the Germans who instigated it. And, it was they who tried to roll, and then set fire to the first TV van. I was there, and could clearly hear shouting in German by those perpetrating these acts.

I was on Nowy Swiat when the Germans were taken into custody.

@polcham If you were close enough to hear German spoken, you were probably one of the right wing demonstrators. The Police did not allow bystanders in. They required people to either join one of the groups or leave. So if you were that close to hear, you were part of it.

And watching the TV live coverage and footage later, if you heard German as they tried to set fire to the van, you had to be VERY close to hear any voices given the noise generated by the rioters. VERY close.
