Lol @ cosby's suit but yea Barbara has a elegant style to her the lindsay's,britney's and Kim's could learn a lesson hollywood is not bout whoring yourselves
What a strong remarkable women Barbara Bain is! Talking so great words in that bad situation!! But she won!! Coming on the stage and going from the stage like a queen! BARBARA BAIN IS THE QUEEN !! Thanks for sharing it!!
What a great quantity Barbara Bain shows to say these words and staying so strong and great in this bad situation!! Went off the stage as a QUEEN!!
She has done the right and said the right words! You have to look up and admire her. Without Barbara Bain the show wasn´t be the same, the heart is missing in the following shows. BARBARA BAIN IS A QUEEN !!
The show was never quite as good without her or Martin. None of the women who followed really replaced her. She projected a certain hardness. Her character was all about the mission. The character would do ANYTHING required to distract the bad guys.
reminds me of Roda from the Mary Tyler Moore show and the blonde from Charles Angels and the lady from Mork and Mindy and the star from Cheers -- all women who wanted more money (wow what a concept) men still get paid more in theater even though the glass ceiling has been cracked.
Martin Landau wanted more money for Mission and he was beginning to depise the show because he wanted to be free to make feature films. The executives of Paramount did not wnat to give them any more money and so they walked. As a result that were blackballed where they had to go to England to find work. It was very difficult for them even after the show "1999". The moral of this story-dont piss anybody off in Hollwood
Bitter or shell shocked?I believe that Mission Impossible had a lot of behind the scenes changes too not just Landau & Bain. Martin & Barbara look great in the Emmy awards 1967-69.
Ah, yes. I remember watching this and thinking "What does she mean, the girl who USED to be on Mission: Impossible? The show went on without Barbara Bain and Martin Landau, but was never quite as good. They were treated badly in that deal.
Thank you SO SO much for all your clips on Barbara Bain...they have given me such great pleasure....how did you find them all? I'm truly amazed. Thank you.
I totally agree Chantal and Helena, she also has courage and determination and looks like so touched, moved inside, so strong and so breaked at the same time.
Who was she referring to in who "Not to thank"?

Her husband looks like he's about to cry at the end of her speech. Very sweet. Thanks again for posting.

Not too many actresses can take my breath away like Barbara Eden does.

Did you mean Barbara Eden or Barbara Bain?

Bain. lol. Of course, Eden is Jinny! Eden turns me on, too!

I was rooting for Joan Blondell. I think they must have thought she was going to win since her co-star Robert Brown presented the award.

A great actress, the award was well-deserved for her work on season 3 of Mission: Impossible. She's a class act.
