I was so pissed off when I finished this movie. Ok one: how bout a fken storyline, we're doing because you were home? WTF Two: It always makes me feel like I just wasted 2 hours of my life when the bad guys kill everyone and get away, I mean theres no point its not like I watch reruns of my favorite sports teams losing. 3: wtf is with the very end theres absolutly no point to the kids finding them and her screaming like a moron. I would of been so much happier if I dident watch this.

Rated or Unrated, The Strangers was horrible. It had the STUPIDEST leads this side of Paranormal Activity; I actually felt insulted by how stupid Bryan Bertino must've thought his audience to be, because the movie seems to be going somewhere... and then the characters act like characters, and by that I mean that it feels forced and scripted. You never forget it's a movie, and a stupid one at that. My vote for this movie is 3/10.

I agree this movie was very boring and predictable. Sure some parts may have been creepy but the jump between the strangers being in the house to being outside the house is sort of unclear. Only part I found quite creepy was the first time someone else is in the house. I do think the director did a good job with that. But above all the ending was shit.

People always complain that there is no story in horror movies, but if you think about it. How many people get killed in real life without ever knowing who there attackers where and why they attacked them. Murders dont go knocking on a door, present themselves and then start terrorising there victims.

Some times they are just crazy.

If the movie can let me feel for the characters and feel the tension, I dont necessary need a mind blowing story. In this genre anyway.

You can tell the director was inexperienced. This movie had the potential to be scary, but shots were ruined when they simply went on for too long. The masked intruders starring at Liv Tyler for five minutes was painfully unscary. We can expect to see "The Strangers 2" soon as it was obvisouly set up for a sequel when one of the killers says "It will be easier next time."
