The 4.0L is a fine motor, you just have to be willing to change a lot of parts to aftermarket and then it's worthwhile. The new 3.7L Mustang is just simply built better with better parts. There are a lot of fast 4.0L just check youtube :)

@iggster1986 like for the track i drive a v8 but my v6 is a 12 second car, i completely agree with you that the 4.0 was a huge mistake to put in the mustang and it was a half assed attempt on fords part, i know of a couple 3.8s that do low 11s all engine, the GTs are rediculous lol, my bullitt runs 10s with close to 600rwhp, the 4.6 is amazing for its size lol

I have a fully built 08 V6 with a 200 shot of nitrous and i shit all over cobras, cameros, gtos, corvettes, and all the imports. Cylinders dont matter. Evos and subarus push over 1000hp all the time with only 4 so your 400hp and 500hp isnt that impressive with double the cylinders.
